In the book 'Agathiyar Kalaignanam 1200' Agathiyar has explained about 64 Theurgies. At the beginning of the book he has told the following:
"நீதான் சித்தாடுகின்ற வகையைக் கேளு
neethaan siththaadukinra vagaiyaik kaelu
நீள்புவியில் இக்கருவைச் சொன்னாயானால்
neelpuviyil ikkaruvaich sonnaayaanaal
கோதறவே வாதத்தால் பிடிக்கப் பட்டு
koatharavae vaathaththaal pidikkappattu
கொடும் பிணிகள் சூழ்ந்து கொடுமையாகி
kodum pinikal sooznthu kodumaiyaagi
வேதாளமாகி பூதமாய்ப் போவாய்
vaethaalamaagi poothamaaip poavaai
வேதாந்த சத்தியமாய் நின்றாயானால்
vaethaantha saththiyamaai ninraayaanaal
தலைவனாய் உலகில்லுள்ளோர்க் காவாயப்பா
thalaivanaai ulagillulloark kaavaayappaa
தண்மையுள்ள புலத்தியனே கேளுகேளே!
thanmaiyulla Pulaththiyanae kaelukaelu!"
My dear kind hearted student, I will tell about doing theurgies. If you tell this to anyone on the earth, you will be affected by paralysis and many other diseases and will become as goblin and then demon.
