Mantrika - Finally few words!

Author: தோழி / Labels:

The main aim of discussing Siththars mantrika in our blog is to enlighten the readers about the basic importance and necessity of mantrika and also eliminating the dreadful feeling about it.

More over, mantrika is one of the two ways to attain mukthi in siddhalogy. It might be new to many readers, however it is necessary to share the basics and stages of Siththars mantrika in our blog.

It is not an easy task to share all about the topic mantrika just in 25 posts. Since its boundary is infinite, it may take almost a year to describe the topic in depth. Hence, as we said, mantrika’s asta karma has been seen discussed till. With gguru’s permission and if time supports in future, we can see the mantrika in detail up to my knowledge.

Even though, mantrika exists in various places in world, there is no scientific evidence proving its truthness. However, many people have written about mantrika, which infer us, that it was widely in use. We need more discussions and research activities to bring out the mantrika’s truthness. I have no idea, whether any one practicing this art in ‘Tamil’ culture. According to my concern, it can be seen as pschycological based art.

Even though, asta karma explains about the eight stages of mantrika, we have no correct idea about its order. Available information describes it as basic stages. However, there is no information regarding the starting and ending stages, which I am still searching. However, it is clearly inferred that, one should start practicing a new stage only after attaing siddhi in previous one.

Mantrika must be learned only through guru’s guidance. Only perfect guru can teach their students in right path. We have already seen the way to find appropriate right guru. Interested readers can read the older posts and refresh it. Guru is a person with full of kindness and care and well wisher. Hence one can get guru’s blessing only if we believe him and surrender us wholeheartedly.

Siththars have stated that, one with good physical and mental fitness only can start practicing this art. Even though, the practicing methods are given in Siththars poems, it is best to practice under guru’s guidance. We should believe that, ‘nothing is greater than our guru’.

Thirumoolar and many other Siththars were written in detail about mantrika and it might take one’s life time to gather and post all information. Hence, in our post, we have seen only Karuvoorar’s mantrika technique so far.

I only have literal knowledge about mantrika and have not gained any practical experience in this art. My only focus is to share the Siththars quotes and poems.

Siththars mantrika highly differs from Malayala mantrika. Even though, there may be some similarities in basics. The focus and functioning of each highly differ from one another.

The chanting methods are discussed in older posts. From starting itself, I repeatedly told that, there is no scientific evidence describing the truthfulness of mantrika. Hence, there is no doubt, that it may be considered for argument till we got any scientific evidence. We might get clear view of this art, only through future researches regarding mantrika art.

We should have correct reason before rejecting one thing as false hope. We should not forget that, even small information will be useful somewhere.
In upcoming post, we will see with another exciting Sithar’s information.

I would like to thank all our fellow readers for constant support and encouragement.

Uchaadanam - Continuation

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Uchaadanam denotes the art of chanting mantra and attaining siddhi in it. Vibrations due to sound is basis of this art. This art involves the science of handling vibrations to employ some effect in body and surroundings. There are many undergoing researches in order to prove it scientifically which are also available in internet.

In previous post, we have seen the preparation for attaining siddhi in uchaadanam. All these information are gathered from Siththars song. In this post, we will see the important information regarding yantra preparation and trick to use it.

Karuvoorar stated that the yantra for this art should be drawn in silver or copper plate. The mystic diagram placement in yantra can be obtained from following Karuvoorar’s following song.

It is really difficult to prepare yantra using the information obtained from Siththars poem. Preparing correct yantra is possible only to a person who was highly familiar with Siththars song. Commercially available yantras in markets might not be properly prepared as per Siththars guidance.

Now, we are going to see the trick using this yantra. One should start with guru’s blessings, on one fine thursday, wearing tulsi bead chain sitting on veppalai plank facing south west direction. Then, the yantra prepared on silver or copper plate should be placed on panjavarna* silk cloth and moolamantra “Om vayanamasi sriyum ariom aiyum suvaaka” should be chanted 108 times on morning and evening time (sunrise and sunset time) for 48 days regularly. Along with that, archanai should be performed to yantra using white dead nettle flower to attain siddhi in uchaadanam, as told by Karuvoorar.

We will see another manthrika art in upcoming post.

Uchaaranam or Uchaadanam is one among the asta karma of Siththars. This is comparatively the most strong-minded and perilous art. Readers can refresh about the types of  mantra chant.

There is lot many matters to share regarding uchaadanam. However, in this post we will see about the uchaadanam in Siththars view. Basically uchaadanam means mastering the art of chanting mantra.

In Siththars usage, uchaadanam is used as a defensive art. They taught their students too in same way. The vibrations formed during chanting mantras are used to protect their body and surroundings.

Let us see about the preparation for practicing ‘uchaadanam’.

The principal god of uchaadanam is Niruthi. The moolamantra is ‘Om vayanamasi sriyum ariom aiyum suvaaka’.

One should start practicing on thursday facing south west direction.

Tulsi bead chain is used to wear and tulsi rosary should be used for chanting purpose.

Veppalai (Wrightia tinctoria) plank is used for seating purpose. White dead nettle flower is used for performing archanai* on yantra.

One should wear panjavarna* silk cloth and also wear it to yantra. Yantra is made up of silver or copper plate in order to attain siddhi in uchaadanam.

In upcoming post, we will see about the method of designing  yantra and mode to attain siddhi in uchaadanam.

Thambanam

Author: தோழி / Labels:

In the series of Siththars mantrika, today we are going to see about thambanam and requirements to attain siddhi in this art. Thambanam or sthambanam  is an art which directly meant entrapping. It entraps a concerned thing and nullifies it. Among 64 subtle arts said in Tamil literature, eight stages of thambanam are also included.

The result of this art leads to perilous effects. Hence it must be practiced under guru’s appropriate guidance and blessings. One should realize that, guru’s blessings will be given only to those who have good physical and mental stability.

Now we will see about the preparations to attain siddhi in Thambanam.

The principal god for Thambanam is Indra. The moolamantra is “Om namasivaya ayyum kiliyum savvum suvaaka”.

One should start practicing this art in one fine monday and should face east direction in order to attain siddhi in thambanam.

Lotus beads of chain should be wore in body and lotus rosary should be used for chanting mantras.

Plank of jackfruit tree should be used for seating purpose.

Lotus flower must be used for pooja purpose.

Green silk cloth is used to wear and should be wore for yantra.

Yantra for thambanam  should be made of copper or silver plate. In next post, we will see information about the way to draw yantra, and trick to attain siddhi in thambanam.

Vasiyam

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

So far we have seen the introduction and preparation of Siththars mantrika. Hereafter we will get into the incredibly exciting part of this topic. We are going to see the eight stages of mantrika.

Dear friends! There are no well known scientific records on effects of the mantrika. More over, today’s modern science consider this mantrika art as pseudo science and denying it. So, practicing this art with false cases and trying it might results in contradictory reactions and converse effect.

As this event of collecting and sharing information is only to accumulate and imparting the Siththars works which are ravaged by time! So kindly do not practice it without proper guidance from appropriate guru.

In this sequence of mantrika, today we will see about the vasiyam. Vasiyam controls a person or persons according to one’s own desire. According to the need, it is further divided into eight types. They are “Jana vasiyam”, “Raaja vasiyam”, “Purusa vasiyam”, “Sthree vasiyam”, “Miruga vasiyam”, “Deva vasiyam”, “Sathru vasiyam” and “Loka vasiyam”. Each of the above mentioned type has its own unique practices which are described in Siththars songs.

Whatever be the mantrika method, the synchronization of mantra, yantra and the trick to implement them is essential. So far, we have shared the information regarding preparation in the previous posts. However for readers easiness, the pre-preparation information regarding vasiyam are refreshed here.

In order to to get siddhi* in vasiyam, practice should be started on one fine sunday. Rudrakshaa rosary should be used while chanting manthra. One should should face north east direction and seat in bael plank. Lord Shiva is god for vasiyam and should use jasmine flower for pooja.

Dress made up of red silk is to be wore. Moola mantra for vasiyam is “Om yanamasiva ariom aiyum kiliyum suvaaka”. Silver or copper sheet must be used for drawing mystic diagrams in yantra. Pooja should be done on both morning and evening time.

Okay, how to make this yantra? And how to use these yanthra to attain siddhi? We will see in the next post.
