My hearty Ramzan wishes to my dear Islamic friends.

We may not aware of one of Tamil Siththar among 18 Siththars who followed the Islamic customs and tradition. I have already discussed about Yacob Siththar in my previous post, Islam and Siththars, which can be refreshed. 

It is perfectly high time to discuss the information given by Yacob Siththar in this auspiscious day. Yacob Siththar noted that, ‘jeevakaarunyam’ nature of living is the best way of living life; that is never ever hurting any living beings.  The creator of life, Allah also wanted humans to lead a life by showing affection to all livings of world. 

அல்லாவை முப்போதுந் தொழுதிறைஞ்ச

Allaavai muppoathun thozhuthirainja

அறிவாகப் பலனுண்டு அறிந்துநீயும்

arivaagap palanundu arinhthuneeyum

எல்லாமும் படைத்தவரைத் துதித்துப்போற்று

ellaamum padaiththavaraith thuthiththup poatru

ஏழைமதி போகாம லியல்புகாட்டிச்

aezhaimathi poagaama liyalpukaattich

சொல்லாலே நினைத்துமே கோழிதன்னைச்

sollaalae ninaiththumae kozahithannaich

சுகமாக அறுப்பவர்க்குப் பாவமாகும்

sukamaaga aruppavarkkup paavamaakum

கொல்லாமல் எல்லாமும் படைத்தஅல்லா

kollaamal ellaamum padaiththa Allaa

குணமதனை உயிர்போக்கக் கொடுமையாமே

kunamathanai uyirpoakkak kodumaiyaamae.

கொடுமையாய்த் தம்முயிர்போ லெவ்வுயிர்க்கும்

kodumaiyaaith thammuyirpoa levvuyirkkum

கொண்டாட்ட மில்லார்க்குக் குறைச்சலுண்டு

kondaatta millaarkkuk kuraichalundu

அடுமையாய்க் காத்தோர்க்கு இடுக்கஞ்செய்ய

adumaiyaaik kaththoarkku idukkanjeyya

ஆண்மையாய்ச் செய்திடிலோ நரகமுண்டு

aanmaiyaaich seithidiloa naragamundu

படுபாடா யாட்டைத்தா னறுப்பவர்க்குப்

padupaadaa yaattaiththaa naruppavarkkup

பலனில்லை யேமமென்ற பொருளுமில்லை

palanillai yaemamenra porulumillai

இடுகாட்டில் கார்த்திருந்த பிணமும்போல

idukaattil kaarththirunhtha pinamumpoala

இருந்தேங்கி மாண்டுமே திரிவார்பாரே

irunhthaengi maandumae thirivaarpaarae.

If we pray gracious Allah three times a day, we will get all wealth and happiness of life. Also, Yacob Siththar told that, one can realize this truth through prayer. He also tells that, all livings were created by Allah and he never wanted anybody to kill any living beings. 

Those who were not treating the life of other living beiges as their own will not get any happiness in life. Moreover, he also added that, those who are killing living beings  without any grace will surely go to hell and they were correlated to dead body waiting for burial.

So, on this auspiscious day we will pray Allah to give us the stamina for not hurting any living beings. This information is collected from Yacob Siththar book named “Yaakoabu Kaaviyam”.

We have found evidences that the Muslims are prevailing in Tamilnadu since seventh century. We have found many evidences that shows “soanagar”, ''thulukkar”(refers to Muslims) in the sculptures.

Yacob Siththar in his book has told about the methods of preparing rasamani and the benefits that could be attained on worshipping it. In this post we shall only see the benefits told by him.

"பார்த்தியே சூதமது கட்டிப் போகும்

paarththiyae  soothamathu kattip poagum

பதிவான இருபத் தொரு மணிகள் செய்து

pathivaana irupath thoru manikal seythu 

வாத்தியே தமரிட்டு நூலில் கோர்த்து

vaaththiyae thamarittu noolil koarththu  

வடிவாக கைதனிலே வைத்துக் கொள்ளே 

vadivaaga kaithanilae vaiththuk kollae 

வைத்துமே பிசுமில்லா ரகுமானென்று 

 vaiththumae pisumillaa ragumaanenru

வகையான கலிமாவை ஓதித் தீரு

vagaiyaana kalimaavai oathith theeru 

மைத்துமே நாளொன்றுக் கொன்று தானும்

maiththumae naalonruk konru thaanum 

நாடியே முப்போதும் தொழுது போற்று

naadiyae muppoathum thozuthu poatru 

பைத்துமே இப்படிக்கு தொழுதாயானால்

paiththumae ippadikku thozhuthaayaanaal 

பதிவாக நபிமார்போ லிருக்க லாகும்

pathivaaga nabimaarpoa lirukka laakum"

He says that, once the mercury is solidified it has to be made into rasamanis and pierce holes in them and tie it up with the aid of thread. Keep this in hand and keep chanting the kalimah, “Bismillah Rahman”. If you keep doing this for three times a day along with prayer, you will also become a member of nabis.

This is also an example to highlight the greatness of the rasamani.

Note: I’m just sharing the ideas and views of the sidhaas with Islamism and I am not really aware about the Islamism totally. If there are any mistakes pertaining to the religion please excuse them.

The Siththars do not belong to any particular religion, language or caste. To say in short, they are like the food that resolves one's hunger. For a food it knows only to resolve the hunger, like wise the Siththars tried to lead the people of the society in a good path.

The people in the search of the wisdom and those who have attained the highest state of it and realised it are said to be as Siththars only. In Hinduism this is called as 'mukthi'. In Islam it is told as 'Dhavhidh'. In Islam, people those who attained this high state are called as 'Nabis'. They have made attempts to enrich the people and thereby they still live among ourselves.These people who lead people to maintain the brotherhood feeling and inculcate affection among people are considered as the messenger of god.

As an evidence of this let us see the prayer song in the book "Yacob Sunnakaandam" written by Yacab Siththar.

"ஆனந்தமாய் நிறைந்த அல்லா பாதம்

aananthamaai nirainhtha allaa paatham

அடுத்துநின்ற அடுத்துநின்ற சித்தநபிமார்கள்

aduththuninra aduththuninra siththanabimaarkal

பாதம்போற்றி தானந்த மகமதுவை தொழுது 

paathampoatri thaanantha magamathuvai thozhuthu

போற்றி தாட்டிகமாய் சுண்ணமென்ற காண்டம்

poatri thaattikamaai kannamenra kaandam

தன்னை வானந்த மாகவே அறுநூறாக

thannai vaananhtha maagavae arunooraaga

வகயாகப் பாடினேன் வண்மையாகக்

vagayaagap paadinaen vanmaiyaakak

கோனந்த மெய்ப்பொருளா மின்னூல்தன்னை

koananhtha meypporulaa minnoolthannai

குறிப்பாகப் பாடினேன் கூர்ந்து பாரே

kurippaagap paadinaen koornthu paarae"

By praying to the feets of Allah, who is present everywhere and praying to the feet of the Siththars who are called as nabis, who walks along Allah's path and praying to the Mohammed, who was the one stood as the leader.. I am writing this kaandam named sunnam with trust and truth. 'I have wrote this book with the facts of truth which has to be read keenly to identify them', saying this he started to write this book. 

From this it is so obvious that the Siththars with the features of god are called as nabis in the custom of Islam. 

We have got informations saying that Ramadevar started practising the customs of Islam and was later called as Yacob Siththar. It is heard that he has attained samadhi* in Nagercoil.

In the next post we shall see how the rasamani was used in Islam.
