Siththars's Cave! Artificial Cave!!

Author: தோழி / Labels: , ,

On searching about the shelter of Siththars, we come around three different types of information. First is their jeeva samadhi, second one is about the cave they lived and the third one is description about their ashram.

In our previous post on sathuragiri series, when I collected information concerning the shelter of various Siththars, it should be noted that, many were related to the information regarding caves. Moreover it is interesting to consider the fact that all these places lies serially and well interrelated to one another.

This kindle the doubt that, whether these cave were naturally occurred one after another or made out artificially. Recently, in search of some other information among books, I found out some surprising note in Agathiayar’s book titled “Agathiyar Paripooranam”. It is surprising fact that, Siththars are well aware of performing the art of making the artificial caves.

Agathiyar’s concerned poem is as follows:

வாசிநிலை கண்டுசிவ யோகஞ்செய்ய

These poems are narrated by Agathiyar to his disciple Pulathiyar, as it is once told by Ekkiyamahaa munivar  to Agathiyar, which is a secret truth to do Siva Yoga for knowing vaasi. First the person should go to his favourite hill and roam around to find suitable place where, he can make his own cave.

Take the equal amount of following 13 ingredients viz; pioneer (red coloured water), crystalline salt, kariyuppu, vediyuppu, ammonium chloride, annapaethi, malaipaethi, maangisapaethi, kalnaatham, kalmaththam, arappodi, karkaantham and singittam in kalvam and then grind it well. Then put down the mixture in big iron vessel (called as thaali in Tamil) and pour yaanaiparikantham, blood of pulikaradi and also the boiled water of horsegram. Then place this vessel in sunlight and mix the mixture using twig of  jaumoon-lum tree.

After the reminiscent settled down, collect the clear liquid and pour it in the rock where you want to have your cave. After pouring the mixture, the place where the liquid spreads bosoms out and forms into salt. The so formed salt melts down like melting of crystalline salt in water. Now, mark the required area for cave and cut down it.

After cutting down, one can pour the liquid further on rock to get the desired depth. Now rock can be further cut down to deep. Now after achieving the desired structure, Agathiyar also told the way to stop the functioning of that cave further.

Now clean the cave with the equal amount of mixture of honey with water, milk and sirukaranthai extract, which will ultimately, stops the salt formation of cave. After making this cave, be strongly focused and start meditation alone in this cave. Now, mind will become focused to oneness and can view the radiance similar to sunlight on centre of brow. Agathiyar says, for seeing this radiance only, Siththars went forests and also he advises, in order to see that radiance, one should do meditation independently out of human community.

Interesting information! Isn’t it? Our ancestors used the techniques to melt down the rocks rather than cut it down. It will be definitely a marvelous achievement if further technological growth and usages happened in this regard. Our ancestor’s technological solution is not at all inferior compared to nowadays science!  Hence, it will be a sorrowful mistake, that we did not upgrade this technological achievement through modern research.

Interested readers can do further research in this regard.

Aathma Darshan! Arivu Darshan!!

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

So  far, we have seen the 16 types of darshan said by Siththars and about the aathara darshan which is first among them. Today we are going to see the next  two darshan in that series.

One should practice and attain siddhi in these darshan sequentially that is, practicing the 2nd stage after attaining siddhi in 1st stage. One must start practicing these darshan with guru’s blessings and guidance.

Let us see the aathma darshan which is second darshan told by Agathiyar as follows;

Aathma Darshan.

siththiyulla aatharatherisanamung sonnaen

Those who attained siddhi in aathara darshan, must position the breathe “Ang” in throat, then be silent as “Ung” and chant the mantra “Ung kili nam sing”daily for 100 times. We can see the moolavanni
radiance in suzhimunai, through which, soul can sense and learn the art of mantra.

At that time, we must pray and realize that art. Then the soul reaches its completeness and realize itself which ultimately leads to aathma darshan. After attaining siddhi in aathma darshan, one can start practicing  ‘arivu darshan’ as told by Agathiyar.

Arivu Tharisanam.

paachappaak kannarinthu vaasikondaal
pathivaana mounasithtu palikkungkaanae.

Those who attained siddhi in first two stages of darshan must position the breathe “Ung” in mooladhara, then be silent as “Ang”, and should be in “Vizhi yoga”.

What is that vizhi yoga?

One should start seeing focus the place in between the two eyebrows by closing eye is called vizhi yoga.

Being in this vizhi yoga, on chanting the mantra “Om nama Sivaya” daily for 100 times, one can sense the fire in suzhimunai. On this stage, gagana occurs and one can felt the third eye which is called ‘Netri Kan’ in Tamil. On sensing this, if one position the breathe in that place can attain Mouna siddhi. Agathiyar told this as arivu darshan.

Absolutely interesting right!?

We will see the further darshans in upcoming posts.

Magnet- An Introduction

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

In the series of sharing the scientific information hidden in the Siththars songs, we are going to see about magnets from Siththars point of view in the upcoming posts. Most of the information revealed here are not easily available in the public.

What is magnet? Why it is called so? What is the history behind it? I would like to start this topic from the above questions.

History shows, magnet was first found by a Greek shepherd. Hence, today’s science gave Greeks, the glory of finding and using the magnets for the first time.

Even before the scientific invention of magnet by Greeks, Chinese people used compass which employs magnetic needle. Indians too used magnets for their needs. In this sense, lots of information is available to write.

Magnets are nothing but the solid stone which attracts iron and the alloys of iron and these comes under category of natural magnets. Nowadays, magnets are prepared artificially which has its significant contribution in this scientific world.

‘Kaantham’ is the ancient Tamil word which meant, attracting, dragging, and pulling. Siththars briefly noted down the information of magnet concerning its types, uses and its magnificence.

Questions will definitely arise in readers mind regarding, why government did not took necessary steps to collect and introduce these valuable information in our text books? If not us! Who will empower our ancestral glory?

In the Siddhalogy, plenty of information concerning magnet is available in books. The information discussed here are taken from following books; Agathiyar 12000, Bogar 7000, Theraiyyar Vaithiya Kaaviyam, Karuvooraar Palathirattu, Pulippaani Vaithiyam, Konganavar Kaaviyam, Agathiyar Aemathathhuvam and Bogar Nikandu.

Further information in this series will be discussed in the upcoming posts.

Trick that helps in being blessed with a kid

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

In our society, it is a practice to give birth to a child after marriage within a span of time. The couple who do not have kids after a span of time will be noticed by the people and they will start talking bad about them. They will be put into stress either directly or indirectly. The modern science has come up with so many best ways to resolve this but the Siththars have also told the way of resolving this issue ages ago only.

"அட்சரமாஞ் சிகாரமுதல் சகலபூவாம்
atcharamaanj sikaaramuthal sakalapoovaam
sirappunnae yirunthuthaan varunanmoolai

thalaiyaana varuvainthu noorupoadu
sagalapilli sooniyangal theriththuppoakum
malaiyaathae perumpaadu mudanaetheerum
mangaiyarkku mathalaiyundaa malangidaathae”.

(Agathiyar)

Take the plank of the jaumoon - plum tree and write “Sivaayanama” mantra on it. On that plank place the lotus pearls and a flower. Wear blue coloured attire. Sit facing west direction and place the plank in front of you. Chant the “Sivaayanama” mantra and drop a flower each time on to the plank for 500 times.

With this all the bad spirits will leave the woman and will be blessed with a kid, says Agathiyar. Those who want can try to do this.

Agathiyar’s trick that drive the devils away

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Did the egg come from hen or hen come from egg? Like this, the answerless question about the devils, ghosts or bad spirits can also be never answered. But as far as my opinion, this topic is always dependent on the belief of an individual. Also any idea that cause harm to an individual is also a bad spirit.

The Siththars have mentioned about these devils and bad spirits in their songs. Agathiyar has also specified about the nature of the devils in his songs.

"கட்டடா பேயினது முறையைக்கேளு
kattadaa paeyinathu muraiyaikkaelu
kaanukira kunangaanum karuththil solvaen
ishtamudan penkalaiyaan roobamaakkum
minithaana aanaanaal moakiniyaik kaattum
nattiravil saaipithatrum karuvazikkum
nulirsurangal perumpaadu nadukkumpiththam
muttenavae penpurushan koodivaazhvaal
muraiyaiyuda  nathupoaku muraiyaikkaelae”

(Agathiyar)

The women for whom the bad spirit conquered will behave like a man. If a bad spirit has conquered a man, then it will induce him sexual desires and will make him lose his senses. And for pregnant woman it shall cause to the death of the baby in the womb and result in chill fevers and shivering. It will not let the man and woman to live together. The way of driving away these bad spirits has been told by Agathiyar in the following song.

"கேளடா பிசாசினது பலத்தைப் பார்த்துக்
kaeladaa pisaasinathu palaththaip paarththuk
kilarpanjaa ksharaththinathu kirupainoakki
aaladaa kozazhipanri yaadukaavu
aaeariom uruvain noorupoadu
thaaladaa kaareeyam sembuthangam
thagadezhuthi yidaikkazhuththil sirasilkatta
paazhadaa alakaiyenra paeikalellaam
parakkumadaa piramataatsa sumbaarae"

Take a sheet made out of copper or black lead or gold and write the panchaatchara mantra on it. Along with it also write the following beejaatchara mantra “ah, e, ari, om”. Then meditate on Parameshwara and chant the panchatchara mantra for 500 times. Then tie the sheet to the hip or head or neck to get relieved from all those bad spirits says Agathiyar.

Isn’t it a simple trick? If anybody needs to get benefitted out of it, they can pray to the guru and attempt to do it.

In the next post we shall see a trick that helps in attaining a kid.

The trick that turns enemy into friend

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

The Siththars prefer a smooth life without enemies. We can find many songs where they stress that though one causes bad to us, we should in turn do well to them. Agathiyar narrates a trick in the following song that turns enemy into friend.

The following song is present in the book “Agathiyar maanthreega kaaviyam”.

"யெட்டான நகாரமுதை யகாரமான
yettaana nakaaramuthai yakaaramaana
inithaana yilaikaloa vilvamaakum
nalamaana senthukiludan kizhakkumoolai
mulakusiva maampalakai munnoorrettu
thattaathae yuruvaetri yethiripaerai
thaanezhuthi yunpaerai maelaakamaatri
kattaakath thagadezhuthi kaiyirkondaal
kadumpakaivan kaelvaanaam kannirkaanae"

(Agathiyar)

Take a copper sheet of 2” x 2” size and write your name on it. Below that write the name of the enemy whom you wanted to be your friend. Wear attire in red color and be seated on a wooden plank made out of mango tree facing east direction and place the sheet in front of you.

Chant “Namasivaya” and drop a pepper and the leaf of vilva tree on to the sheet. After doing like this if you keep that sheet in your hand, the most dangerous enemy will also become your friend says Agathiyar.

Who is Siththar?

iranthavar aivar avar ishtamaanavar
aeithum avar iranthaar enru ellaarkkunjol
maranthavar oruvarenrae mannil ulloar
vagaiyarinthidavae ninru aadaai paambae!”

(Paambaatti Siththar)

If a human who has been under the control of the five sense organs lose his life, then he cannot re enter into the same body once again. Once lost is lost. Though a person takes re-birth, he is dead only according to his friends and relatives.

But the one who realises them inspite of the attractive forces due to sense organs is known as the jeevan mukthar. They are beyond the birth and death. Realize that they are the stable people says Paambaatti Siththar.

These jeeva mukthars are only called as Siththars. They are beyond the death. They attain jeeva samadhi. Also they can attain jeeva samadhi* at various places simultaneously. Most of the Siththars call this as one of their theurgic play.

In the next post we shall see another song of Paambaatti Siththar.

Thank you friends!!

Author: தோழி / Labels:

There were so many issues in writing the same topic as a sequence of posts. Without affecting the academics, I used to write the posts in the weekend that has to be posted in the week time. Also I feel that I have been blessed by guru. This is 400th post of our site.

At the beginning I had an idea of sharing out all the ideas that I have within me. As a result of that only I used to write two, three posts per day. At that point of time I did not know about all these tactics of the website handling. The Tamil magazine “Ananda Vikatan” has showed me a new level of exposure. I would like to share my thanks to them at this point. Only after that most of them started reading the website and posting comments.

At a point of time, having more interest to attain more hits I used to share all the information that I have at a time. Hence rarely my posts were introduced to new readers. At a point of time I felt that I should leave all these websites and the politics involved. But I continued to write because I wanted to share the information of the Siththars to the present generation.

We do not know about those who wrote all the information from the manuscript on palm leaf to the books. But the great work that they have did have its importance and value even today. As a next stage I am making attempts to convert them into electronic media. In the last year I have made 9 e-books. In future I shall make further attempts to write some more e-books.

I am a person who does not know anything beyond the Sri Lanka border. But now I proudly say that I have friends all around the World. Their support and encouragement has made me to move forward. I wish to thank all of them.

Once again I wish to thank everyone. I wish this support and encouragement continues forever.

Yours friendly,

Who is Yogar?

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Yogar, the hero of this post is not as famous as the Siththar Bogar. But he is being worshipped as one among the seventeen Siththars of Eezham.

He can speak out his opinions and thoughts sharply. He says about the Siva thaththuvam in the following way:

"சிவத்தியானஞ் செய் செய் செய்
Sivaththiyaananj sei sei sei
Sivamae naamenal mei mei mei
avani anaiththum poi poi poi
athanai arinthu ui ui ui"

(Yogar Swamikal)

In another song, he says about the way how he attained the blessings of the guru in the following way:

"யாரடாநீ யென்று அதட்டினான்
yaaradaanee yenru athattinaan
anraeyaan petraen arul"

He has got the greatness of attaining the blessings of the guru by his Guru's single word.

The advice of Yogar about the meditation is a clear one and has got a deeper meaning in it. He says that, “One who strongly desires to keep his mind in control should do meditating everyday”.

He says the favourable atmosphere for doing the meditation is sitting in padmasana posture, place with purity and silent surrounding. Likewise moderate food, moderate sleep and moderate exercises are the ways of leading a life.

Also he says that the meditation does not mean to think about anything but to keep the mind concentrated without thinking anything.

"சித்திரக்காரன் தீட்டிய தீபம் போல்
siththirakkaaran theettiya theebam poal
niththiya vasthuvil ninaippum marappumara
muththiyi lirukkum murai"

We could not find more information about him. But he is considered as the most important Siththar among the Eezham Siththars.

How to find the secret?

Author: தோழி / Labels: , ,

Mostly we have known that the Siththars songs are like a puzzle and depth in meaning. Based on the vocabulary knowledge of the person reading it, they take the meaning from them. But there is always not a single opinion among the linguistic scholars.

It is a fact that there are hundreds of songs, for which the meanings are still not known. We can also see that many language experts also struggle at a point to explain a particular book or a song.

Why such a situation?

Can't anybody tell about the explanation for the songs of the Siththars?

What is the reason that pulls us back from learning the meaning of these songs?

The Siththars alone answer for this.

"கோர்வையாம் நூற்களெல்லா மறைப்பு மெத்த

Also, there is a fact that the books of the Siththars have been cursed and those who do the rituals to get rid of that curse only can understand the exact meaning of it. Hence those who want to know the meaning of the songs can attempt to learn the way of getting rid from the curses under the guidance of a guru and learn the exact meaning of the song or the book.

Isn't this a surprising information?

Islam and Siththars

Author: தோழி / Labels: , ,

The Siththars do not belong to any particular religion, language or caste. To say in short, they are like the food that resolves one's hunger. For a food it knows only to resolve the hunger, like wise the Siththars tried to lead the people of the society in a good path.

The people in the search of the wisdom and those who have attained the highest state of it and realised it are said to be as Siththars only. In Hinduism this is called as 'mukthi'. In Islam it is told as 'Dhavhidh'. In Islam, people those who attained this high state are called as 'Nabis'. They have made attempts to enrich the people and thereby they still live among ourselves. These people who lead people to maintain the brotherhood feeling and inculcate affection among people are considered as the messenger of god.

As an evidence of this let us see the prayer song in the book "Yacob Sunnakaandam" written by Yacab Siththar.

"ஆனந்தமாய் நிறைந்த அல்லா பாதம்
aananthamaai nirainhtha allaa paatham
aduththuninra aduththuninra siththanabimaarkal
paathampoatri thaanantha magamathuvai thozhuthu
poatri thaattikamaai kannamenra kaandam
thannai vaananhtha maagavae arunooraaga
vagayaagap paadinaen vanmaiyaakak
koananhtha meypporulaa minnoolthannai
kurippaagap paadinaen koornthu paarae"

(Yacob Sihthar)

By praying to the feets of Allah, who is present everywhere and praying to the feet of the Siththars who are called as nabis, who walks along Allah's path and praying to the Mohammed, who was the one stood as the leader.. I am writing this kaandam named sunnam with trust and truth. 'I have wrote this book with the facts of truth which has to be read keenly to identify them', saying this he started to write this book.

From this it is so obvious that the Siththars with the features of god are called as nabis in the custom of Islam.

We have got informations saying that Ramadevar started practising the customs of Islam and was later called as Yacob Siththar. It is heard that he has attained samadhi* in Nagercoil.

In the next post we shall see how the rasamani was used in Islam.

*Samadhi - Intense Yogic contemplation of becoming oneness with God

Note: I am sharing only the knowledge that I gained on reading, if there are any mistakes or something that hurts anyone's feelings excuse me for that.

The Siththars of Eezham and my distress

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

I am writing this post with lot of hesitation only. My notion is not to point out or to hurt anyone. I am just talking about this point which was pricking my heart, with a hope that at least after this there might be any positive impact.

Already I have written a post about the Siththars of Eezham, those who missed it out can find it in the post, The Siththars of Eezham - An introduction. Like the Siththars of Tamilnadu, the Siththars of Eezham are also expertise in medicine, alchemy, astrology, mantras. We have found so many evidences that could assure its right.

As they did not have much following, the information regarding the Siththars of Eezham were not known much and they did not attain much fame. Because of this reason only, all the books of the Siththars of Eezham  have come to an end with their disciples only. Though many of them have got those books of those Siththars with them right now, they are not interested to share with everyone.

In my own experience, when I asked some of the people I know to share the books that they have got about the Siththars of Eezham, their convincing reply was, “ The Siththars never wished to reveal these books, if they really wished for it on a day, then it will be coming out on that day by itself”. On my own attempts till now I was able to collect only 23 songs of the Siththars.

In all those songs, thoughts and their language they used reveals their intelligence. Most of the people in Colombo will have the evidences related to the Siththars of Eezham. But it is a curse to Eezham Siththar literature that they are hesitant to share it with everyone.

Very few books have been written on the Eezham Siththars so far. Only two to three books have been published.  In those books also the authors have not produced the songs of the SIththars. May be they have also got the same experiences that I have got.

Hence with this post, my sincere request is that those who have got the songs of the Siththars or got information about it please do share it with everyone.

I am sharing the two songs that I have related to the Siththars of Eezham.

"பற்றுமர்றொன்றி பற்றுடன் பற்றிநிப்பார்

"சிவாயிரெண்டு குருதேவரின் ஞானக்கண்களாகி

Menstrual periods - Problems and Solutions

Author: தோழி / Labels: , , ,

I have received so many mails from many ladies asking regarding this issue. Hope this post will be useful to all of them and will answer all their queries.

Menstrual period is one of the unavoidabe functioning in the women's body. Though it is a sign of attaining maternity, it is mostly a painful and sorrowful experience for ladies. During this period the ladies face a lot of problems both mentally as well as physically is the fact.

In the olden days, during this period ladies will not be given any work and asked to take rest completely. Though people say that this is a practice against ladies, we need to consider the rest that is given to the body.

In the fast world today, in the circumstances of busy life for ladies the problem that is prevailing among most of the ladies is the postpone of the periods or the delay in its cycle. The time period of this postpone happens for months also. Along with this some of them may also face the problems pertaining to the over bleeding.

If there is no rest during this periods time, then the postpone of periods occurs and during the time of maternity normal delivery may not occur. The Siththars have told many solutions for these problems.

For those who have the problems related to the postpone of the periods and those who do not get periods, take equal measures of  the bark of maavilangam, garlic, pepper and grind them. Consume it in small amount on every morning for three days to overcome from this problem.

Fry the leaves of  plumbago zeylanica in cow's milk and add areca nut, abrus precatorius  and take a small amount of it and add equal measure of sugar and on eating this for three days then periods occurs.

If the periods continues for a week or for over bleeding, Agathiyar has told a simple solution.

Take the of seed from the inner shell of mango and dry it in the sun, and grind it into fine powder and preserve it. Add teaspoon of this powder to honey and on eat it on morning and evening for three mondays will lead us to avoid the bleeding.

The problems pertaining to the stomach that occurs during the time of the periods and over bleeding, take the adament creeper salt and dissolve it in butter and eating it for three times a day will resolve all these issues. Agathiyar says that this can be consumed thrice a day even during the time of periods.

In the next post I shall share about the information told by Siththars regarding the maternity.

Siththars... Solutions for girls!

Author: தோழி / Labels: , ,

The thought that the Siththars are against to ladies might been removed after reading te post "Vaalai pooja". Anyone can understand from the songs of Siththars that, girls are against to the male soceity who think that women are meant only as a symbol of beauty.

The Siththars have told remedies to many of the problems that ladies face regarding their body. In further posts I shall make an attempt to bring them forward.

Pimples

All the teenagers would face this issue of pimples definitely. Though there are so many allopathy methods to get rid of pimples, but those methods causes many side effects and are costly too. Mostly people of oily skin face this problem a lot.

We shall see the methods told by the Siththars to get rid of this issue of pimples.

Take the tender neem leaf, turmeric and grind together by adding water to it and apply it on the pimples. Let it dry and wash it with warm water, then the pimple disappears totally.

Take the milk of the euphorbia spurge apply it on the place of the pimples, let it dry and wash it with warm water, then the pimple disappears totally. But it is said that it should be done when nobody sees.

Also sandal can be taken directly from the sandal wood and apply it on the place of the pimples, let it dry and wash it with warm water, then the pimple disappears totally.

We shall see another issue in the next post.

Siththars and Vaishnavism

Author: தோழி / Labels: , , , ,

In an e-mail that I received, I was asked whether the Siththars have told anything about vaishnavas. Instead of replying to them through mail I thought of sharing the information here, so that it would be useful be useful to everyone.

Though Siththars lived as the essence of Lord Siva, they have told a lot about the Vaishnava gods like Lord Maha Vishnu, Lord Raama. Sivavaakkiyar has told about the greatness of Lord Rama in the following way.

"அந்தி காலம் உச்சி மூன்றும் ஆடுகின்ற தீர்த்தமும்
anthi kaalam uchchi moonrum aadukinra theerththamum
santhi tharp panangalum thabangalum, sebangalum
sinthaimaevu gnanamum thinam sebikkum manthiram
sinthai raama raama raama raama ennum naamamae”

Raama! Raama! If you keep chanting this, it is enough. No poojas, austerities and meditation are needed. Sivavaakkiyar says that by chanting the name of Lord Raama, we can get all the benefits that we get by doing things and also we get the results that could be attained by doing the holy bath in the morning, mid noon and evening.

Also he says the greatness of saying the name of Lord Raama in the following way.

"சதாவிடாமல் ஓதுவார் தமக்குநல்ல மந்திரம்
sathaavidaamal oathuvaar thamakkunalla manthiram
ithaamithaam iraama raama raama ennum naamamae"

Agathiyar says about the Vishnu Mohini form in the following way.

"பணியனையன் பாலாழி யமுர்தம் தனை
paniyanaiyan paalaazi yamurtham thanai
naerappaa pennuruvaai devarkkup padaiththaar
nigarillaa raatsatharkal pennaip paarththu
saarappaa mayangi ninra rasurarkakali loruvan"

"ஓம் நாராயணா என செபிப்போர் நமனையும் வெல்வர்
om narayana ena sebippoar namanaiyum velvar"

Like wise many other Siththars have also told about Thirumaal's greatness and the specialities of his avatars.

"சதாவிடாமல் ஓதுவார் தமக்குநல்ல மந்திரம்
sathaavidaamal oathuvaar thamakkunalla manthiram
ithaamithaam iraama raama raama ennum naamamae"

From this it is so obvious that though the Siththars pray to Lord Siva as prominent god they have also sang about the Vaishnava gods.

From now on I am going to write a topic that most of them were asking to write since I started writing about the Siththars.

What if it is boy or girl?

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

During the days when male domination or female supression were prominent, Sivavaakkiyar aroused his voice against the female supression or the male - female differentiation.

"அண்ண லேஅ னாதியே அநாதி முன்அ னாதியே
annalae anaathiyae anaathi mun anaathiyae
pennum aanum onralloa pirappatharku munnelaam
kannilaanin sukkilam karuvil oangum naalilae
mannuloarum vinnuloarum vantha vaaru enganae?"

(Sivavaakkiyar)

In the womb, the male or female life cannot be differentiated. In that precious state there is no differentiation but once the baby takes birth the male, female difference is observed. Why is it so?

I consider this Sivavaakkiyar's differnce of opinion  with  his contempary people as the most prominent one. The calssification  of sex and female discrimination, for both these he was totally against and the above song is the best example for it.

Hence this song stress on the point that the Siththars were never away from the life of common people.

Food is life

Author: தோழி / Labels:

The secret of human to lead a long life, lies with in the food habit they follow. Most of us do not understand this and  become an addict to the taste of the food and spoil our health. All our food has got acidic and spiciness. Based on the food variety their proportion varies.

For good health, the food must contain 80%of spicyness and 20% of acidic nature. If it is in these proportions we could attain full strength, long life and good health.

The Siththars have categorized the food into three types. They are satvika food, rajo food and thamasa food. The satvika  food gives purity. The rajo food arouses the feelings. The thamasa food results in ill health. As per the records available, most of the Siththars were had lived by having the satvika food only.

Milk, Butter, honey, fruit varieties, vegetables, grains all these come under the category of satvika food.

Meat, fish, dhal varities and food consumed hotly come under the category of rajo food.

Dry fish, alcohol, intoxication, most fermant food varities come under the category of thamasa food

Based on our health situations these food categories could be chosen and consumed.

We shall meet in the next post with another information.

The Siththars of Eezham - An introduction

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

In the generation of the Siththars, there are 18 high level Siththars who have attained the Ashta Maha Siddhi, they are worshipped by everyone. Most of these people belong to the Indian sub-continent. They are very ancient people.

I wish to share an information that most of  you do not know. As there is a Siththars category from Tamil Nadu, there is another category of Siththars from Eezham. They belong to the later period. As they were living isolated from the society, we do not find much information regarding them.

On seeing the informaton that we got, we find many surprising informations about them. We also find some information related to the female Siththars. They were the information about the Siththars who came from Tamil Nadu and the information about the places where the Siththars of Eezham have attained the jeeva samadhi.

Based on this information we find that there are four major sepulchers of the Siththars on the four directions. They are, Kadaiyit swamy's sepulcher at Yaazhpaanam in the north, Siththanai kutti swamy's sepulcher at Kaarai islan in the east, Periyaanai kutti swamy's sepulcher at the entrance of Colombo in the west, Navanaadha Siththar's sepulcher at the Naavalapitti in the south..

The astrology predicted by the Siththars

Author: தோழி / Labels: , ,

"What is this grahachaaram?"

This is the most commonly used word in Tamilians daily language. This grahachaaram is nothing but the result or effects of the movement and positioning of the planets.

The postioning of the planets, stars, zodiac signs at a particular point of time, are used to predict the past, present and future. This technique of prediction is the astrology told by the Siththars.

There might be some wrong predictions in the horoscope, but there is no chance of this astrology to go wrong is my opinion. If one's birth time is told correctly and the predictions are done in the right way, then there is no chance of these astrology to go wrong.

The fundamental or basic criteria that the Siththars use to predict the astrology is listed out below.
  • Stars
  • Time of the Sun's northward or southward course
  • Zodiac signs
  • Seasons
  • The leader of the stars
  • The zodiacal sign rising at the moment of one's birth
  • Planets
  • Facing of the plantes
  • The govering houses of the planets
  • The peak states of the planets
  • The time that the planets stay in the sign's place
If predictions are done by taking all the above criterias into considerations then the consequent effects and results for present, past and future are done correctly. This is the traditional method told by the Siththars for the prediction of astrology.

As an example for this some of the songs of Agathiyar are given below.

"ஞாயிறு திங்கள் செவ்வாய் நற்குரு வெள்ளி கூடிற்
gnaayiru thingal sevvaai narkuru velli koodir
kaayuru pithir thuvaeshi kaariraa koovum kaanae"

(Agathiyar)

"இனியதொரு மிதுன பலன் கேளு கேளு
iniyathoru mithuna palan kaelu kaelu
..................................................................
thanimaiyaa lirupaththaettil kandaal
tharum subakirakamae paarththaal mainthaa
thakkathoar varusham arubaththu mainthum
tharaiyinil liruppaar enru raayappaa"

(Agathiyar)

We shall meet with another information in the next post.

Naadi Astrology – Few doubts

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Naadi Astrology is something that puts all of us into surprise. It is a boon given by the Siththars to the world. The people who are already living and those who are going to born, about all of them they have already written, such a precious treasure it is. This is the understanding that all of us have got.

Before getting into the topic in depth, let us have an introduction about it. Only by seeing one’s finger print they take the relevant record (palm-leaf) and then they say about the person, this is the technique. There is one more condition also in this technique, only if our fate is destined to see we can see the naadi astrology.

They will bring certain palm-leaves and read out them to you. Amongst them whichever suits to your details we need to identify them and tell them, and then they will read it out for you. You will start listen to it with surprise and your mouth wide opened.

Now I will share some of my views about the naadi astrology.

I do not want to accept the blind beliefs or the cheap business tricks told on the name of the Siththars. As a result only I started looking for more information about it, and I am sharing whatever I knew and realized.

As I am saying this, it does not mean that I suspect all the songs and information told by Siththars. I am the one who have been continuously attempting to know about the Alchemy, astrology techniques told by Siththars that most of them do not trust.

To my knowledge, Siththars idea about the naadi is not about an individual only. Also they have not written much related to any individual. They have never stressed about anything other than their guru or disciple.

When this is the context, how could I trust that they have wrote about every individual around the world and also about the one who is going to take birth..

They have written their songs itself with the actual meaning hidden in it, then what is the reason that they wrote the Naadi astrology so clearly. This thought is initiation for my search about the mystery.

I do not mean to tell that the Siththars have told nothing about the astrology, I agree that they are experts in it also. But my point is that they have not told anything about finger prints.

Then what is the naadi that Siththars told about?

The naadi that Siththars told is that on holding the hand straight and straight along the thumb finger there is a radius bone, the pulse that goes over it i.e., one inch above the wrist, place 3 fingers equally and touch slowly and identify the pulse then by changing the fingers we can identify the movement of the pulse. This is the technique that they have told.

As an example I have given below some Agathiyar songs on naadi.

"கரிமுகனடியை வாழ்த்தி கைதனில் நாடிபார்க்கில்
karimuganadiyai vaazhththi kaithanil naadipaarkkil
peruviralangulaththil pidiththa naduvae thottaal
oruviraloadil vaatham muyarnaduvil piththam
thiruviral moonru loadir seththum naadiyaamae."

(Agathiyar Naadi)

"ஆகிய நாடி மூன்றும் படபடவேன்றோடிற் சென்னி
aagiya naadi moonrum padapadavaenroadir senni
vaakkinilannam koazhi mayilen nadakkum vaatham
egiyavaa maiyattai ivaiyena nadakkum piththam
boagiyae thavalai paambu poalvaan saeththumam thaanae"

(Agathiyar Naadi)

Then what is the method that Siththars used for astrology. We shall see that in the next post.
