As we sow, so we reap

Author: தோழி / Labels:

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is the Newton’s third law in science. In our tradition, this action and its consequences has been spoken since many years itself. But it has been told as a part of a religious or individual’s beliefs, acts and thoughts.

The both good and bad effects due to one’s actions in the previous birth still show impact on our life. It is also believed that the good and sin of our parents is also carry forwarded to us. Most of us still believe them.

But Kuthambai Siththar puts forth a different idea. He says that the sin and good caused by the parents does not affect their children. Likewise the good did by the children will not cause good to the parents. He says the effects of good and bad that one does shows impact to the same person only.

"தந்தைதாய் செய்தவினை சந்ததிக்குஆமென்பார்
thanthaiyaai seithavinai santhathikkiaamenbaar
sinthai thelinthilaraekuthambaai
sinthai athalinthilarae."

(Kuthambai Siththar)

"பிள்ளைகள் செய்த தன்மம் பெற்றோர்ககு உறுமென்றால்
pillaikal seitha thanmam petroarkaku urumenraal
vellarivu aagumadikuthambaai
Vellarivu aagumadi ."

(Kuthambai Siththar)

If somebody keeps blabbering that the good did by my parents did not protect me, then it shows their innocence only.

If somebody keeps worrying that the bad did by my parents is affecting me, then it shows their innocence only.

If somebody realizes that, ‘this is the consequence of my actions only’, then the person will be an intellectual says Kuthambai Siththar.

Filled everywhere.. Even in me!!

Author: தோழி / Labels:

The supreme being is the only one who is present everywhere. It stands as intelligence, and source for all the other living beings and also origin for all movable and immovable things. Hence god is seen in all the non-living things, says Siththars.

Panjabootham are wind, fire, water, land and sky . God is the one who created these panjabootham and he is filled in all of them. Your body is the one that has formed as a combination of all these panjabootham.

This is told as that the world's supreme being is present in our body by Kuthambai Siththar. "In the land, in the widely spread water body, in the fire that rises high, in the wind that blows, in the the wide open sky, in all these see that god is present" says Kuthambai Siththar.

"நீரும் நெருப்பும் நெடுங்காற்றும் வானமும்
neerum neruppum nedungaatrum vaanamum
paarumaai ninrathaikkaan kuthambaai
paarumaai ninrathaikkaan"

"எங்கும் வியாபகம் ஈகை விவேகங்கள்
engum viyaapagam eegai vivaegangal
pongamaai ullaanadi kuthambaai
pongamaai ullaanadi"

(Kuthambai Siththar)

In the next post we shall catch up with another information.

Offering good heart to the God

"மாணிக்கக் குன்றிற்கு மாசற்ற சோதிக்கு
maanikkak kunrirku maasatra soathikku
kaanikkai nanmanamae kuthambaai
kaanikkai nanmanamae."

(Kuthambai Siththar)

Though there are many light emitting bodies in the Universe other than sun, God is the source and cause to all of them. Than the light emitted by a big glittering ruby in the size of mountain, God is the superior source of light. There is nothing equal to the graceness and kindness of this superior light. To attain this, all that we need to give is our pure heart only says Kuthambai Siththar

To tell the meaning of the Siththars script is difficult

Author: தோழி / Labels:

The Siththars scripts are the one with deep secrets in it. Generally to say the exact meaning of the Siththars song is very difficult. Those who has tried to say the meaning of the Siththars songs has left the place with unclear idea only wherever they can not decipher it.

In some of the songs there may be certain words to which their meaning seems to be so easy but we could recognize that there would be some other meaning for the same if we look in depth. Once we recognize that meaning it is again difficult to put the same into the words that others can understand.

The following 2 songs of the Kuthambai Siththar could be stated as an example

"வெண்காயம் உண்டு மிளகுண்டு சுக்குண்டு
venkaayam undu milagundu sukkundu
unkaayam yaethukkadi - kuthambaai
unkaayam yaethukkadi?"

"மாங்காய்ப்பால் உண்டு மலைமேல் இருப்போர்க்குத்
maangaaippaal undi malaimael iruppoarkkuth
thaengaaippaal yaethukkadi - kuthambaai
thaengaaippaal yaethukkadi?"

To my knowledge, there is nobody who has told the meaning of those songs.

Purity of the mind

Author: தோழி / Labels: , ,

To get rid of the sacks of sins we carry, we would go to the sacred temples and bathe in sacred rivers. Even if we clean the bitter-gourd in any river, the bitter taste of it won’t change. Like that, without purifying our mind, there’s no use of visiting sacred places.

God will occupy one’s heart whose mind is pure. Siththars too strongly insisted about the importance of being pure in mind.

“வெள்ளத் தனைய மலர்நீட்டம் மாந்தர்தம்
vellath thanaiya malarneettam maanthartham
ullath thanaiya thuyarvu.”

 said by Valluvar,

 “மனமது செம்மையானால்
manamathu semmaiyaanaal
manthiram sebikka vaendaa”

said by Agathiyar,

 “சித்தத் தலம் போல தெய்வம் இருக்கின்ற
siththa thalam poala theivam irukkinra
suththa thalangalundoa? kuthambaai
suththa thalangalundoa?”

said by Kuthambai Siththar. It was all about being pure in mind. As Siththars had insisted, let us free our mind from impurities and let God reside in our heart.
