Secret of the Thirumantra – 01

"மூலன் உரைசெய்த மூவாயிரம் தமிழ்

ஞாலம் அறியவே நந்தி அருளது!

Out of the Saiva thirumurai, thirumantra is the tenth Thirumurai. Out of the total twelve thirumurais, the first 9 are the words of praise, the tenth one thirumantra is the type of saaththiram*, eleventh is the type of prabandham* and twelfth is the puraanam* type. This thirumantra is the ancient book that exactly speaks about the words of the god and there is no exaggeration in saying that it highlights the fame of Tamil also.

As per my view the thirumantra is a book explains about the tricks to keep your body immortal by doing yoga, staying away from all the earthly pleasures, showing love to all the living beings and uniting ourselves with the lord Siva.

Most of the rare information that is hidden in this book has not been revealed yet. In this week I wish to share the songs which are of simple words in the way I understood. As per the words of Thirumoolar we have got this book with 3000 songs fully.

First let us see how the book is organized. The book is totally categorized into ten parts. The first part is named as “Paayiram” and the other nine parts are collectively called as “Tantras”.

Paayiram

This totlly comprises of 156 songs. These songs are again categorized into 13 types. They are kadavul vaazhththu (prayer song), Andhanar Ozhukkam, Arasaatchi murai, Avaiyadakam, Aranjeyyaan thiram, Aranjeyvaan thiram, Aagama sirappu, Aaguthi vaettal, Mummoorthigalin muraimai, Vaanach sirappu, Vaedhach siauppu, Guru parambarai and Thirumoolar saying about his history.

Taking the length of the post into consideration, I shall finish it up here and continue in the next post.

Secrets of the Siththars – Final part

This is the last post of the series of ‘Secrets of the Siththars’ which we have been seeing for the past fifteen posts. Everything that we hide from sharing is considered as secret only. My notion is to bring this information to all common people which were known to only a circle of people centuries ago.

I do not want all my posts to be a surprising factor only. I wanted it to be something to learn, understand and then clarifying it in my post. Now I shall make certain explanation regarding the ‘secrets of the Siththars’ series and finish this topic.

All the information shared in this post has been collected from the following books only.

Agathiyar’s “Agathiyar Manthreega Kaaviyam”“Agathiya Panniru Kaandam” and

Pulipaani's “Pulipaani Sakkara Vignjai”.

Most of them have asked me to write about the mantras that help to get rid of the curses of the body. These mantras are meant to be told by the guru to the disciples. In my view I am still in the initial stages of this search. At this point of time, I am not the right person to answer this question. Also considering the purity of those mantras I do not want to keep them in public.  Those who are interested can look in the books that I have mentioned above.

The Siththars have told that those theetchai mantras have to be followed only with proper health and mind maturity. The siva theetchais must be done in a particular sequence only. It is possible only to those who makes continuous attempts and practice regularly. This is said as a proverb by our ancestors that mantra does only 25% and the mind does remaining to get achieved in actions.

The trick behind the methods of getting rid of the curses of the herbs is shared in brief only. I shall share more information about it in some other situation.

With this the sequence of the secrets of the Siththarss completes. In the next post I shall share about a new topic.

Secrets of the Siththars – Dangerous yantras: 02

As a continuation of our previous posts about the dangerous yantras, let us  see some of the dangerous yantras. First let us see the Virutcha maarana chakra told by Agathiyar.  Using this any tree can be subjected to maaranam. Agathiyar has explained about it in the following way.

"பாரேதான் புலத்தியனே பண்புளானே
paaraethaan Pulathiyanae panpulaanae
பாலகனே ஓரறிவுக் குற்றசாதி
baalaganae oararivuk kutrasaathi
நேரேதான் விருட்சங்க ளெதுவானாலும்
naeraethaan virutsanga lethuvaanaalum
நேர்மையுடன் மார்க்கத்தை விளம்பக்கேண்மா
naermaiyudan maarkkaththai vilambakkaenmaa"

"விதியான விருட்சமாரண சக்கரந்தான்
vithiyaana virutchamaarana sakkaranthaan
பதியான வைந்துவரை குறுக்கே கீறி

The virutcha maarana chakra which is the destiny to many of the trees has been hidden by the SIththars in the world. "I am telling to you listen", saying this Agathiyar begins.  "Draw five lines horizontally and five lines vertically crossing them, this forms sixteen boxes. Draw a soolam* at the corner" and the letters that have to be filled in those boxes are also mentioned by Agathiyar in his songs.

"தீர்க்கமுடன் விருட்சத்தின் அடிப்பாகத்தில்
theerkkamudan virutchaththin adippaagaththil
அப்பனே சாண்நிகளஞ் சதுரந்தோண்டி
appanae saannikalanj sathuranthoandi
கேளப்பா சக்கரத்தை அதன் கீழ்ப்போட்டு

மணலாலே மூடே மூன்றேநா ள்தனிலே

நலமான விருட்சமது பட்டுப்போகும்

வீணருக்கு உரைத்திடாதே கேடுவிழையும்

The chakras which has been formed in this way has to be kept in a pit that has been dug near to a tree with certain depth in the square shape. Then the healthy tree which is close to it will fall off within three days. Agathiyar says if it is known to bad people it will create worse effects. That is true only, right?

Sathuru Maarana Chakra

Draw six lines vertically and six lines horizontally crossing them, it forms 25 boxes.  Draw a soolam at the corner sides of each box and write the specific letters in the boxes. This chakra has to be tied to the branch of Banayan tree that runs towards the east direction by writing the name of the enemy on it. After three days remove the tied chakra and this will cause the death of that enemy. Hope you have understood the reason why Agathiyar have hidden this information.

Vilangu Maarana Chakra

Take the bark of the fig tree and draw 5 lines vertically and horizontally such that they cross against each of them which form 16 boxes. Draw a soolam at the corner of the lines and write the specific letters in the boxes. Burn the bark of that fig tree with the firewood of yarcum tree and the ashes that is formed has to be dissolved in the water. While doing so think about a wild animal in the mind, which leads to its death. The wild animals which cause trouble to the common people by entering into the place where human live can be killed this way.

Kaatteri Chakra

Draw six lines vertically and six lines horizontally crossing them, it forms 25 boxes.  Draw a soolam at the corner side of each box and write the specific letters in the boxes. By chanting certain beeja mantras 1008 times, the chakra will attain powers. Now tie it to a amulet on a particular day then kaatteri* will be under your control says Agathiayar.

Like this the list of the dangerous yantras extends. Taking the length of the post into consideration, I finish it with this. In the next post I shall share the information regarding which I was receiving mails and queries continuously.

Secrets of the Siththars – Dangerous yantras: 01

I have already written about the Siththars' yantra. Generally these yantras are used for three purposes.

God is drawn on the yantras and giving power to it and blessings are recieved from that yantras by praying to it. These yantras are kept near the idol in the temple. These yantras are functionable only for certain time only.

In astrology to protect ourselves and the people around us from the effects caused by the planets, bad spirits we use these yantras. These are mostly used as remedies to protect from deficiencies.

The third type of yantras is very dangerous. These do not require any kind of pooja or any power need not be transferred to it. These will start functioning once they are drawn. The Siththars name them as vaagara chakras or siraga chakras.

The Siththars were so keen to ensure that these yantras are not known to the people. Hence the information of these chakras is mentioned in a hidden meaning. These yantras are shared only to the most trust worthy disciples.

In the next post I shall share some of the songs of Agathiyar and Pulipaani which speaks about the information related to the chakras.

Secrets of the Siththars – To make the herbs relieved from the curses

The method of making the herbs relieved from the curses may be considered as the step that is to be followed when the herbs are plucked from the ground. While plucking or searching an herb in the forest we need to look for the plants or other herbs that are present around it. While plucking them we need to take into  consideration about the behavior and characteristics of the herbs that is present around them. Agathiyar says that those who are relieved from the curses related to body will have a capability of realizing this.

On the day before plucking the herb, we need to clear off the plants present around it. Later we need to perform the prescribed poojas, chanting unique mantras and pluck the herb along the roots without the nail touching it. The fundamental idea of this method of relieving from the curses is to make the herbs remain alive.

I do not think there is any meaning for those mantras which are used to get relieved from the curses. Mostly the evidences show that these mantras should be chanted lakh times. We have not yet found the reason behind it.

One of our friends says that these mantras might be chanted to remove the micro organisms and insects that is present on the herbs. If somebody knows any further information about it, they can share it here. So that everybody gets benefited out of it.

Now let us see the certain mantras that are prescribed for herbs to get relieved from the curses.

"ஆமென்ற வசியமென்று சொல்லக் கேளு
aamenra vasiyamenru dollak kaelu
ஆஅதி முதலான கொடியறுகு வாங்க
aa adhi muthalaana kodiyaruku vaanga
டங் றீங் வங் யென்று லட்சம் செபித்தால்
tangreeng vang yenru latcham sepiththaal"

- அகத்தியர் -

'While using the kodiyarugu roots for making vasiyam*, chant “Dang Reeng Vang” one lakh times and make it relieved from curse and pluck it' says Agathiyar.

"நாடவே பெருவாகை மூலிசாபம்
naadavae peruvaagai moolisaabam
கெவனமுடன் ஓம் நமசிவய வென்று
kevanamudan om namasivaya venru
தாளப்பா லட்சமுரு ஓதும் போது
thaalappaa latchamuru oathum poathu
மீளப்பா வசிய யோகம் தரணியில்
meelappaa vasiya yogam tharaniyil."

'While using the peruvaagai herb for making vasiyam*, chant “Om Namasivaya” one lakh times and pluck it' says Agathiyar.

The following are the mantras used in Alchemy for getting relieved from the curses.

"பத்தியுடன் பாசாண சுண்ண செந்தூரம்
paththiyudan paasaana sunna sendhooram
பாங்காகப் புடமிடும்முன் சாபங்கேளே
paangaakap pudamimmun saabangalae
கேளப்பா பாசாண சாபந்தீரக்
kaelappaa paasaana saabanhtheerak
கிருபையுடன் ஓம் ஹீம் நசிமசி யென்று
kirubaiyudan om heem nasimasi yenru
வாளப்பா ஆயிரத்தெட் டுருச்செபிக்
vaalappaa aayiraththet turuchepikka
வலியான பாசாண சாபந்தீரும்
valiyaana paasaana saabantheerum"

Before putting the arsenic calcium sendhooram* in furnace (for pudamiduthal), those must be relieved  from the curses says Agathiyar. Also he says that if we chant “Om Heem Nasi Masi” 1008 times, they will get relieved from the curses.

"போமேதான் உபரசத்தின் சத்தைச்சேர்த்து
poamaethaan ubasaraththin saththaichaernthu
புகழான ரசவாதஞ் செய்யும் போது
pugazhaana rasavaadhanj seyyum poathu
ஆமேதான் ஓம் றீம் நசிமசி யென்று
aamaethaan om reem nasimasi yenru
அன்பாக ஆயிரத்தெட் டுருச்செபித்தால்
anbaaga aayiraththet turuchebiththaal
வாமேதான் உபரசத்தின் சாபம் போச்சு
vaamaethaan ubasaraththin saabam poachu"

'While doing alchemy by adding the secondary minerals, we need to chant “Om Reem Nasi Masi” 1008 times, to get relieved from the curses of secondary minerals' says Agathiyar.

Agathiyar says that all the mantras mentioned in the sequence of the secrets of the Siththars have to be practiced in the same order.

With this I would end up the series of the mantras that helps to get rid of the curses. If I get the guru’s grace I shall attempt writing the research book about these mantras.

Secrets of the Siththars – Types of ways to get rid of the curses

As per my understanding, in Siththars science, getting rid of the curses is categorized into three major divisions.

The disciple to relieve from the curses by himself.     
The herbs to relieve from the curses to use them for making maanthreegam* and medicines.
   
The elements to relieve from the curses which are used in the formation of the Alchemy and medicines.

The way of getting rid of curses related to the body

Everyone who is involved in the search of the Siththars science has to do this in the initial state. It means that the person first needs to make his body pure.

It is a method where the person chants a mantra 100,000 times under the guidance of a guru and attains benefits. I am not telling any mantra here as I do not have the rights to mention them.

The way of relieving the herbs from the curses

It was said in two ways.

There is a method that could relieve the curses of all the herbs that are used in making the medicines. There are mantras specially prescribed for them.

In another method, a particular herb has to be prepared to serve a prescribed purpose. In this method, for each herb separate procedure s used to get relieve from the curse . In the sorcery there are so many curse relieving methods that are prevailing even today .

The way of relieving the elements from the curses

This is used to purify the elements, liquids, metals that are used to make the alchemy, medicines and yantras.

In the next post we shall see the way of relieving the curses of the herbs.

Secrets of the Siththars – Getting rid of the curses – An Introduction

In the sequence of the secrets of the Siththars, next we shall see about the methods of getting rid of the curses. I have wrote about this in some of the earlier posts.

We can tell the way of getting rid of the curses as the way of removing the deficiency or preparation according to the need. According to the Siththars, everything has defect except gurus. They have considered that everyone has a defect in either of the way. The way of getting rid of it is considered as getting rid of the curses.

Agathiyar in his “Agathiyar Panniru Kaandam” and “Agathiyar Maanthreega Kaaviyam” has told clearly about the methods of getting rid of the curses. There is no body or herb or solid which could be used without get rid of their curses.

செய்யவே விட்டகுறை இருக்கும்போது
seyyavae vittakurai irukkumpoathu
தீர்க்கமுடன் உடல்சாபம் நிவர்த்தி செய்தால்
theerkkamudan udalsaabam nivarththi seythaal

If human get rid of their curses then they can find the herbs that could give them success. Hence alchemy can be attained. Without getting rid of these curses whatever they begin will not succeed.

பாரப்பா சாபமது தீர்க்க வேணும்
paarappaa saabamathu theerkka vaenum
பரிவான மூலிகையின் சாபம் தீரும்
parivaana mooligaiyin saabam theerum
காரப்பா சுண்ணசெந் தூரபற்பம்
kaarappaa sunnasen thooraparpam
கற்பமுறை செய்யவென்றால் சாபந்தீரும்
karpamurai seyyavenraal saabantheerum
நேரப்பா வாதவித்தை வைத்தியங்கள்
naerappaa vaathavithhai vaiththiyangal
நேர்மையுடன் செய்யவென்றால் சாபந்தீரும்

சீரப்பா கற்பகங்கள் தைலம் ஜாலம்

The curses of the herbs has to be relieved. Lime (an oxide of calcium), sendhooram* and to prepare parpam* we have to relieve the curses. Also for doing the alchemy, medicines, preparing thailams, kalpa we have to relieve the curses.

"தீரேநீ ஜாலமுடன் மாந்திரீகம்
theeranee jaalamudan maanthireegam
செய்வதற்கு சித்தமுனிசாபந் தீரவேணும்
seyvatharku siththamunisaaban theeravaenum
நேரேநீ யோகஞா னங்கள்செய்ய
naeraenee yoagagna nanhalseyya
நேர்மையுடன் சாபமது தீர்க்க வேணும்
naermaiyudan saabamathu theerkka vaenum
கண்மணியே சாபமதை நிவர்த்திசெய்யே

For doing sorceries and maanthreegam, the curses given by the sages and the Siththars has to removed. For attaining yogic wisdoms, one has to get rid of the curses. With this we can understand the importance of the getting rid of the curses. We shall see about my understandings about the methods of getting rid of the curses in the next post.

Secrets of the Siththars – Few clarifications on the theetchais

In the study of the Siththars, the secret of the Siththars is considered as a separate section. As per my understanding I am categorizing them and writing. Like wise most of them have asked their doubts in the comments and emails. Instead of answering them separately, I thought of writing it as a post .

Theetchais is considered as a state where the gurus help their disciples to attain knowledge about the science and the true wisdom. This step by step procedure is possible only if we attempt doing them with very hard practice. The guru will tell this based on the disciple’s mentality. This is only called as the grace of guru.

We have seen that there were 32 mantras in Siva theetchai. Most of them have asked a question whether they could attain the benefits of only one particular mantra. As per my understanding I do not think there is a chance for it. Each one of the mantra is considered as a step only. Only after we attain success in one mantra, we can proceed to the next one.

The other question is whether all the mantras have to be chanted all at once or can be categorized and done based on our requirements.The answer for this from my side this that the right person to answer this is the guru only. The guru will decide it based on the disciple’s mental and physical capability. The basic idea of the Siththars is that the guru is the superior to everything.

Agathiyar has mentioned that for certain mantras the “Om” mantra has to be added as suffix. I have mentioned the details of those songs and the mantras in the previous posts. In some of the posts though they begin with the 'Om’ add another “Om” and chant it for twice.

As Agathiyar has mentioned in his songs that each mantras has to be chanted a lakh times, it is very important that we chant it correctly for a lakh times. I have mentioned about the pre requisites to chant this mantras in the next post.

For the question, which has to be practiced first whether the mantras that tie up the body or the Siva theetchai mantras, I have answered in the next post. Keep reading.

"Listen to the twenty fifth theetchai. On chanting “Yae Yae Yae Vuu Vuu Vuu” a lakh times, this theetchai could be attained" says Agathiyar.

"Listen to the twenty sixth theetchai. This is the theetchai of the sacred mother. On chanting “Ishaaya Ishaaya Om” a lakh times, the silent theurgy could be attained" says Agathiyar.

"Listen to the twenty seventh theetchai. In this theetchai you will yourself become Lord Siva. Listen it. Chant “Om Sivaaya Siva Reeng" a lakh times" says Agathiyar.

"Listen to the twenty eighth theetchai. On chanting “Siva Om Sivaaya Nama” a lakh times, your fame will spread all over the world says Agathiyar.

"புகழுண்டாம் இருபத்தி ஒன்பதாந் தீட்சை
pugazhundaam irupaththi onbathaan theetchai
போற்றுவாய் சவ்வும் மவ்வும் என்று லட்சம்
poatruvaai savvum mavvum enru latcham
நெகிளாது அய்யாறு தீட்சையப்பா
negilaathu ayyaaru theetchaiyappaa
நிலைத்தவர்க்கு மங் சங் கங் கென்று லட்சம்
nilaiththavarkku mang sang kang kenru latcham
அகமகிழ உன்தேகம் ஒருநாளுங் தான்

அழியாது நரைதிரையும் இல்லையில்லை

"Listen to the twenty nineth theetchai. With this you would get a fame that could be praised. For that, chant "Savvum Avvum Mavvum” a lakh times" says Agathiyar.

"Listen to the 30th theetchai. On chanting “ Mang Sang Kang”, your body will never get destroyed. As your soul filled with joy, you will not get grey-hair and wrinkle skin. To withstand your body for an aeon, chant “Sreem Reem” a lakh times and the thirty first dheetchai could be attained" says Agathiyar.

"என்றுதான் லட்சமுரு செபித்தாற் சித்தி
enruthaan latchamuru sepiththaar siththi
இறவாமல் இருத்துமடா கோடிகாலம்
iravaamal iruththumadaa koadikaalam
நன்றுகாண் முப்பத்தி ரெண்டாந் திட்சை

nang kili sing kili enrae latcham

"Listen to the thirty second theetchai. On chanting “Nang Kili Sing Kili” a lakh times, you can remain alive for a crore years. And lead the rest of life with doing prayers. Even if some one kill you or cut with knife, the part which was cut will stick again. All these theetchais, that I have mentioned so far is not that easy to finish" says Agathiyar.

All the mantras that has been mentioned regarding the theetchais cannot be refused as junk. There might be many secret reasons behind them. Only with the blessing of the guru this could be understandable. By praying to those gurus I finish this series on theetchais.
