In the songs of the Siththars there is information related to the time and the way of constructing house, constructing well, keeping the doors and entrances of the house. They say that initially the well has to be constructed and after that only the construction of house has to begin.

The construction of well is not so simple. It has to be constructed with the help of many persons. If water does not come in the well after so many struggles and efforts, then it will be a mere waste. Also there is a chance for the water to get dried up during the summer season. But for all these issues, the Siththars have told remedies by themselves.

         

If there is more green grasses in any part of the site, then we will get water at very less depth itself by digging there.

After we locate the water, how can we identify whether the water is good to use?

The Siththars answer it..

Grind the navadhaanyam* and sprinkle them on the place where we planned up for digging the well on the previous day. The next day we can observe the ants carrying them to some particular place. If we dig well at that place we will get pure water.

We have also found pure water. Now how can we identify that it won’t dry up in summer season?

The Siththars have answered that question also.

Make fence in the site where we want to dig well and let the cow graze in that field. Then if we observe them, they will sit in a cool place and swallow them. If they continue the same behavior of sitting the same place for next five days, then that is the place suitable for digging a well that do not dry up in summer too.

Isn’t this interesting??

Like this the Siththars gave given many other useful information in their songs. These have to be analyzed well and researches are to be done on them.

*Navadhaanyam - The nine kinds of grain namely wheat, paddy, redgram, greengram, bengalgram, beans, sesame, blackgram and horsegram.

The Siththars consider that all the objects have got a deficient in any one perspective. They strongly believed that by identifying the reason and focusing on it we can overcome it. They have found the alternatives and wrote them in their songs.

If someone buys a new land, it must be ploughed and grains are to sown in it. After those crops grow, the cows must be let to graze them. While the cows are grazing in the fields, their excretory may shed onto the land and their saliva may also fall onto the land. By this way all the deficiencies or curses the land has got will be relieved.

After many researches worldwide, the natural agriculture that has become familiar now-a-days has also said that the above mentioned points only. The excretory of the cow, if it is on land and gets mixed up with the land, the fertility of the land increases. This method of getting rid of the curses told by the Siththarss has got such a scientific reason also.

Cemetery, deeper lands where the water gets stagnant, battle field, temple, the place where the ant-hill  is/was there.., in all the above mentioned lands the houses should not be constructed. Likewise the shadow of temple, temple’s tomb, banyan tree, bael tree, suma tree, yarcum tree should not fall onto the houses. Like this there are so many other information told by the Siththars in their songs. If all these information are collected and put together and researches are performed on these, we may get to know many more details about it.

This is the 300th post of this website. It has begun as a small one and is growing rapidly. This website which talks more about the Siththars has got many followers too. I

The siththars are the ones who lead their life with nature only. All their tricks and practices are related with the nature only. We could find some information about the site astrology in the Siththars books.

We know about the construction in the modern days, before beginning the soil of that land will be tested. But before ages only the sidhaas stressed about it. The Siththars have mentioned the nature of land in five different characteristics.

They are

• Color
• Smell
• Sound
• Touch
• Dust

Color

White, golden, red, black are four kinds of lands. Based on the color, their nature could be decided.

Smell

The lands which smell like milk, flower, tuber and water are used to build the huge buildings. Those which smell like jasmine, poon, lotus, grains, trumplet-flower and cow are used to construct houses. The land which smells like curd, ghee, honey, oil, blood, fish are not suitable for construction.

Sound

If the sounds which we hear while digging sounds like the sounds produced by horse, elephant, veena, bamboo, ocean then that land is a very special one.

Touch

This is a way to identify by touching. This technique is to identify the nature of the land by touching it by seeing if it is sticky to touch or rough in nature and deciding its nature.

Dust 

When the land is dried, take a fist full of the mud and crush, pour it towards east direction, the dust that flies from it and the amount of mud that is collected on the ground, based on all these we can decide the features of the land.

The vaasthu astrology is in the first place regarding the business that is done based on the trust. This vaasthu is very importantly noted by every person from our next door to the person ruling the country. In our families at least one of them will be impacted by it.

The information about the vaasthu has been evolving since the times of adharavan veda. In Sanskrit most of them has written  many books about it. In olden days, beginning from the temple, the palaces, till the houses of the people everything were built by taking the facts of vaasthu into consideration. The supreme god of this vaasthu astrology is the vaasthu purushan.

It is told that in any new built house in the north-east side, the vaasthu purushan places his head and in the south-west side he places his leg and lies upside down. This site where he lies is called as vaasthu mandalam. It is believed that in this vaasthu mandalam, the gods who govern the eight directions split themselves into the eight directions. Apart from them there are forty five devars present in this vaasthu mandalam.

It is believed that the vaasthu purushar sleeps for four different months in a year and stays awake at the rest of the months. Hence based on his time of staying awake and sleeping, people begin with building and finishing the constructions. Like this the vaasthu astrology says certain set of rules for every act in the construction process.                                                                                                                                               

You might be running out of questions like, why I named the post as site astrology and I am talking about the vaasthu astrology. That is the idea of this post. Since ages, the vaasthu astrology only was considered during the construction and has been highlighted as Tamilan's art. We believed that only.

But the fact is that there was a separate art which spoke about the techniques in construction and sculptures. Many temples that are present even today are the examples of these arts only. Though we have got many books about the vaasthu, the books about the site astrology is not yet found. But much information about the site astrology is being spread in the songs of the Siththars. But in those there is nothing about any god and nobody is sleeping in it. It is all related to the science only.

It is the responsibility of every Tamilian to gather all these information and give them collectively. I do not know if anybody has did anything like that. If there is anything like that please let me know.
