Types of Udhaga Neer - 01

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

In the previous post, we have seen about the introducton and the explaination of the udhaga neer. Now let us see about the types of udhaga water and the ways to identify it and their uses.

Saanavaedhi Udhagam

This intense udhaga neer is of white color like the ground water with foam and is sticky to touch. If we dip a stick in this water then in 90 minutes, the portion of the stick dipped in water will turn to a stone. The prescribed mantra* has to be said to get rid of the curse, then it has to be preserved in the bottle gourd shell that is tied up with the hair from horse's tail. In few drops of water, add the face powder then the liquid turns into red color and a scent smell comes from it. This  is only called as Saanavaedhi Udhagam.

In a pumpkin, make some hole and pour mercury into it and tie it with the hair from horse's tail. Keep this in udhaga neer and within 90 minutes, pumpkin turns into stone. If this is crushed into pieces then the mercury becomes solid like balls. If we keep this solid ball in mouth, we can attain a power to fly. Take small amount of this pumkin powder and add honey to it and on eating this regularly, we can lead a long life says Siththars.

Orunaalvaedhi Udhagam

This udhaga neer which is like a water washed by tobacco and is slippery and sticky to touch. The prescribed mantra has to be said to get rid of the curse, then it has to be preserved in the bottle gourd shell that is tied up with the hair from horse's tail. If we add asafoetiea powder and smell it, the smell of asafoetida goes off. This is only called as Orunaalvaedhi Udhagam.

This Orunaalvaedhi Udhagam has to be taken into a bael shell and add purified 5.31 gram of mercury in it and leaving it for a day, it will turn like butter. And if this mercury is solidified into rasamani then it is only called as Kevuna rasamani.

Irunaalvaedhi Udhagam

This udhaga neer will be sticky like cow dung water. The prescribed mantra has to be said to get rid of the curse, then it has to be preserved in the cocunut shell that is tied up with the hair from horse's tail. In few drops of this liquid if we add mango juice and leave it for two days. Then if we could not smell the scent of mango juice then it is only called as Irunaalvaedhi Udhagam.

Take this udhaga water into a bael shell and add small quantity of silver powder. After two days we can find it being turned like mud. Grind and refine it and eating it by dissolving it in the ghee will result in attaining the Kaya siddhi.

Thirinaalvaedhi Udhagam

This water which is sticky and slippery to touch and looks like the black soil tract water. In this water if we dip a stick for 3 days, then the portion of the stick dipped in water will turn to a stone. The prescribed mantra has to be said to get rid of the curse, then it has to be preserved in the shell made out of copper that is tied up with the hair from horse's tail. In few drops of water, add the sandal powder then if we try to smell, we could not find any smell. This way we can recognise this the Thirinaalvaedhi Udhagam. By using this kind of udhaga neer, many kinds of ashes and vermilion powder can be prepared.

Panjavaedhi Udhagam

This looks like the water mixed up with turmeric. In this water if we dip a stick for 5 days then the portion of the stick dipped in water will turn to a stone. The prescribed mantra has to be said to get rid of the curse, then it has to be preserved in the shell made out of iron sheet that is tied up with the hair from horse's tail. In few drops of water, add the grinded wet onion then we could not find the smell of onion. This  way we can recognise this the Panjavaedhi Udhagam. By using this kind of udhaga neer many kinds arsenics can be converted into ashes.

As the post is too lengthy I shall let you know the other five types in the next post.

* The mantras used to get rid of the curses are unique and very rare kind of ones. Hence taking into consideration the length of the post, I have not revealed them.

Udhaga Neer - An Introduction

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

You might have seen that water being formed, leaked, flowed from the mountains go through the forests as stream. While the water travelling from the mountain through the forests, the water might have remained in the pits and holes on the peaks of the mountain. This post is about the water that settled in those small pits and holes.

While flowing through all these mountains and forests it dissolves many poisons, salts flows through the medicinal herbs in the forests as a result the nature and feature of the water changes to the best. This water gets settled in the pits deeper like well and due to the climatic conditions like sunlight, thunder, lightning, the chemical changes occurs and as a result it becomes as the most powerful with extra ordinary powers. The Siththars named this water as Udhaga neer.

As an example to describe its importance, the leaf falling into this water also turns into stone. The Siththars tell that this cannot be found everywhere and identifying this is not so easy. Also the udhaga water found in all the places does not posess similar kinds of chemical and biological characteristics.

In the books like "Bogar Malaivaagadam", "Korakkarr Malaivaagadam", "Agathiyar Vaagadam", it is written in detail about this udhaga water. As per those books books, there are ten kinds of udhaga water. They have also wrote songs about getting relieved from the curses by using this udhaga water. Also they say that this water has to be preserved in a special vessel.

In those days when there was not much of technology, our ancient Tamil Siththars have known about all these. While thinking about their greatness we can definitely feel great about ourselves as Tamilians.

In the next post we shall see more about the udhaga water and the ways to identify it, and its benefits.

Keep waiting!!

To avoid hunger for a week

Author: தோழி / Labels:

I have already shared a method to avoid hunger told by Agathiyar in the post, Method of overcoming hunger told by Agathiyar.

In the same way in this post we shall see the method told by Pulipaani Siththar, disciple of Bogar.

"நீர் முள்ளி விதை எடுத்து நசுக்கி
neer mulli vithai eduththu nasukki
athan arisiyai pasuppaal vittu arainthu
pasuppaludan kalanthu arunthu
vaaram onraagum varai pasiyedukkaathae
naathanaar bogaruda kadaatchaththinaalae
nalamaaga Pulipaani paadinaen"

(Pulipaani)

Take the seeds of the  achyranthes aspera plant, hit it in the mortar, separate the husk from it and grind it by adding the cow's milk like a paste. Now add cow's milk to this mixture and by consuming it for a week we could avoid hunger. This method has been told by Pulipaani with the blessings of his guru Bogar.

During the hunt for divinity, the hunger should not be an obstacle, that is why the Siththars have suggested these techniques to their disciples.

The details mentioned in this post has to be considered only as an information only.

In the next post we shall see about the rarest topic, "Udhaga neer".

(Konganavar)

"வாலையின் அட்சரம் மூன்றாகும் அதை
vaalaiyin atsaram moonraagum athai
vaai kondu solbavar yaar kaanum

mael onrum keezh onrum maththimamungkootti
virainthu paaradi gnanap pennae!"

(Vaalaik kummi)

Karuvoorar in his 'Karuvoorar Poojavidhi' book, he has wrote about the Vaalai pooja in the following way.

"பத்து வயதாகும் வாலையவள்
paththu vayathaagum vaalaiyaval
marmam vaiththu poosai panna
mathiyunakku vaenumadaa athigamaaga
kanarithu siru pillai kanni kanni
aamivalai arinthavarkal siththar siththar
arinthathumae mana adakkam vanthu saerum
naattilae sonnaayaanaal nagaippar"

Vaalai's mantra Aah+Voo+Im, the words of oangaram and the reverse of it is Im+Voo+Aah (Murugaa). This is the secret mantra of the Vaalai puja, and the subtlety of the Vaalai pooja.

Vaalai's yantra  - Triangle peetam
Vaalai's mantra - Aah+Voo+Im, Im+Voo+Aah

Hence the Vaalai goddess filled up everwhere, has to be felt internally rather than praying externally. The feeling and thoughts has to be united and to get immersd into the supreme soul, this Vaalai pooja is prescribed by the Siththars.

Anybody who has got interest can follow the path of the Siththars and get benefited.

We shall get to know this Vaalai pooja method through guru only and get benefited and will also help others to get benefited out of it.

Supreme god to the Siththars!!

Author: தோழி / Labels: , ,

Most of us have heard that the Siththars have always spoke less about the ladies and have cursed them most of the time. I expect that opinion will be wiped of after reading this post.

The Lord Siva having filled in everything, the Aadhi Sakthi's blessing will be needed. The Siththars having realised this fact and importance of Aadhi Sakthi, they were worshipping one of the forms of Aadi Sakthi. That form is the form of a girl of ten years old, this is a surprising fact!! Most of us are not aware of this.

Kongnavar has told about this great god in the following way,

"வாலையைப் பூசிக்க சித்தரானார்
vaalaiyaip poosikka siththaraanaar
vaalaik koththaasaiyaai sivakarththaraanaar
vaelaiyaip paarththalloa kooli vaiththaar
intha vitham theriyumoa? vaalaip pennae!"

(Konganavar)

The name of that god the Siththars were worshipping is Vaalai. The form of Aadi Sakthi in the from of a ten years old girl is called as Vaalai. The Vaalai goddess who is origin for all these was being worshipped by the Siththars both physically and mentally. There is no Siththar who have not prayed to this Vaalai. There is no Siththar who have not praised and sung about this Vaalai.

The Siththars have realised that the Vaalai goddess is filled in ourselves, responsible for everything, governing all the yogic practice and attempt for wisdom and hence were worshipping the Vaalai goddess.

This maid goddess Vaalai's blessings were coming true, then the goddess was worshipped as Manoanmani goddess and finally achieved the higher state of wisdom with the blessings of the Aadi Sakthi. This state of the wisdom is considered as the superior state.

What is the Vaalai pooja?

Its greatness has been praised by Agathiyar in the following way,

"கூடப்பா துரியமென்ற வாலை வீடு
koodappaa thuriyamenra vaalai veedu
koorariya naathar magechuvariyae yenbar
naadappaa aval thanaiyae poosai pannu
nanthisollum singaaram thoanrum thoanrum
oodappaa sigaaravarai ellaam thoanrum
oomaiyenra amirthavellam ooralaagum
thaedappaa ithu thaedu kaariyam aagum
segaththilae ithuvallavoa siththiyaamae
vaamenra aval paatham poosai pannu
matronrum poosai alla maganaesonnaen!"

(Agathiyar)

What is the greatness of this special Vaalai pooja?

God the Siththars prayed to!!

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

In Siththar genetics so far we have seen about the way of offering our prayers to the guru, as a sequence of it I wish to take you this topic next.

"ஓமெனும் ஓங்காரத்துள்ளே ஒரு மொழி
omenum oangaaraththullae oru mozhi
omenum oangaaraththullae oru azhagu
omenum ongaaraththullae pala paetham
omenum oangaaram onmuththi siththiyae!"

(Thirumoolar)

The superior guru to all of us is god only!! For those who has acheived and those who wanted to achieve, god is only the supreme guru. To make us realise about this we need a human guru.

After recognising a guru of that kind, yogic and wisdom practices has to be done with confidence, belief and full of dedication. Those who does with continuously only can attain perception. Like crushing the seed and getting oil, the body has to be strained and enlighten the soul. The Siththars have also enlightened the soul by physically straining themselves.

The Siththars who have attained this higher position has prayed to which god?

Did all the Siththars worship the same god?

There are many opinions about this. This is always been as a controversial topic only.

Irrespective of what others have told, based on the informations we got all the Siththars have worshipped to only one god. There is no Siththar who have attained theurgy without praying to that particular god. We can say this stubbornly.

Which god is that powerful and great?

Details in the next post.

Guru obeisance – Appearance of guru

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

This is the most important of the series guru obeisance.

The one who does with pure soul and does without any expectation only can practise this. Those who practise with any other wrong intentions will surely leads to failure. The Siththars are the one who have been rid of all the family pleasures. They do not expect divine service or worship. They do not accept it also. But even today many of them tell that the practice of doing poojas by chanting the 1008 mantra is meant for the Siththars only.

Now let us see the method of praying to them.

In a room filled with purity and silence facing the east keep the picture of the Siththar you pray and keep a lamp in front of it. In a clean cup filled with water, keep it in front of it. Also keep a copper coin of 3mm thickness and 1 inch circumference in front of it.

Now spread a cloth in front of the Siththar’s photo and sit in the pose of padmasanam. Those who feel difficult to sit in that pose can sit normally. Relax the breath, body and remain in a state of silence. At this point I wish to remind about the moola mantra (respective to the Siththar in the photo) and chant it for 1008 times in mind only. This has to be done during the sunrise and sunset everyday.

In this pooja, certain things should be done with proper discipline. Every time before the start of the pooja the water in the cup should be filled freshly. At any cost praying by keeping fruits, flowers or any other food items should not be done. Also remember that the Siththars do not encourage the idol form of worship.

In this way whoever does the guru obesiance with lot of interest and pure soul they will get the blessing of the guru they worship at the earliest. Based on the severity of our attempt that Siththar will appear to us.

Those who really seek for the blessing of the guru for them this particlar method is a chance.

So far we have seen about the way of offering our prayers to the guru, in the further posts we shall see the gods the Siththars has worshipped.

Guru obeisance? Siththar obeisance?

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Is the Guru Obeisance and Siththar obeisance the same? One of our friends asked this question through an e-mail. After giving certain explanations for it, we shall proceed with our series of our guru obeisance.

When a child newly starts the guru kulavasam (residing in Guru's place for learning), the guru teaches the Siththar obeisance mantra to the child. “Hari namoathu sindham” is the Siththar obeisance mantra. This tradition was strictly followed till the previous generation. Now as days passed this tradition has disappeared. Apart from this, I think there is no relation between the Siththar genetics and Siththar obeisance.

To be even clearer, there are evidences that this Siththar obeisance is a practice of the Jains tradition.  Thiruththakka devar in his book, 'Seevaka sindhamani', he has written the following Siththar obeisance as the prayer song in the very beginning of the book iself.

"மூவா முதலா உலகம் ஒரு மூன்றும் ஏத்தத்
moova muthalaa ulagam oru moonrum aeththath
thaavaatha inbam thalai aayathu thannini eithi
oavaathu ninra kunaththu ol nithich selvan enba
thevaathi thevan avan sevadi saerthum anrae"

Hence this Siththar obeisance is no way related to the guru obeisance that we are looking right now.

So now let us switch into our topic that we were discussing.

The Siththars important mantras that I have mentioned in the last post serves as the tricks that help out the disciples to keep them connected with their guru always. By chanting that mantra at the beginning of any action, they believe that they always have the blessings and support of their guru in whatever they do and also they believe that their guru would appear in front of them whenever they need their help.

I guess you are surprised. Yes, the Siththars who have attained samadhi could appear in front of their disciples if needed. In the next post I shall share the method of seeing the Siththars in person.

Keep waiting!!

Guru Obeisance – A clarification

Author: தோழி / Labels:

The genetics of the Siththars is based on the guru and the disciple tradition. Here the guru is only superior to everyone and considered equivalent to god and are being worshipped. Bowing to guru and following his path is considered as the best practice. Whoever wanted to know about this tradition they must definitely know about the way of worshipping the guru.

Siththars when they start with something or put forth an attempt to something new, they make it a point that they offer prayers to their guru. Every disciple has got his own way of offering prayers to his guru or his own set of mantras to meditate on the name of his guru. Did the Gayathri mantra vanish? Or it was hidden? – 03

Author: தோழி / Labels:

The ancient Tamilians were using five different gayathri mantras. They say that anyone can use these mantras. I am sharing the gayathri mantra stated by Karuvoorar here.

"ஓம் பூர்வ பலன்கள் சுவை ஆகுக!
om poorva palankal suvai aaguka!
thaththuva viththukkal aranaaguka!
paarinko thevarkal vasikkum thee magizattum!
theeyae yogap paranjothi aagattum!"

Anybody would realize that this gayathri mantra sounds similar to the gayathri mantra that we have got in practice right now. Its greatness is explained by Kakapusundar in the following way.

 "மவுனமே இப்படித்தான் செய்யும் பொய்யோ
mavunamae ippadith thaan seyyum poyyoa
vaaykkumalloa kaayanthiri valuvae seyyum
kevunamae maelkilappum thozilae thaanae
kaesaraththil eatri vaikkum siththi thaanum
mavunamaeyenru sonnaar munnoarellaam
vanthavarkal kandu konda vagaiyithaamae
ravithanai mmaravaamal noakki noakki
kaayathri sebanjeythu irunthu paarae"

(Kaakapusandar)

We shall see how we could get beneficent by using this gayathri mantra.

This mantra has to be chanted by facing the sun. Early in the morning even before the sun rises, by sitting in the pose of padmasanam with pure mind it has to be chanted 108 times. Both body and lips should not move, concentrate your mind and keep chanting.

If we say this maha mantra on every morning and evening regularly the soul gets stable, devotion, service, yoga, meditation and samadhi all these five could be attained. This gives the best result if it is been chanted on morning and evening continuously. This maha mantra could give the best results at any state says Siththars.

We shall realize its importance, grow ourselves and uplift others too.

I shall catch up in the next post with another information.

Did the Gayatri mantra vanish? Or it was hidden? – 02

Author: தோழி / Labels:

I am writing this post with a bit of hesitation only. All these opinions involves controversies or arguments. Hence take the synopsis of this post as an information only. If there is any mistake please point it out to me, so that I can rectify it. I am ready to ask excuse for it also.

For the ancient Tamilians, there is no religion and caste differences. All of them worshipped the nature. Language is enriched, arts were shining, tricks were greatest. Men and women were treated equally. In ancient days, this was the real culture of Tamilians.

In the southern side of the vindhya mountains, aryas and kalapirars after they started eshtablishing themselves, they started to influence over our culture and spread their culture on ours. Our today’s culture is the influence of both those cultures only.

Also there is a controversial opinion that after realizing the importance and greatness of the Tamil, they eshtablished an equivalent language Sanskrit (Samaskirutham). Sama refers to equivalent and kirutham refers to language.

The aryas has acquired this equivalent language as their own language with their own defined set of values, beliefs, gods or representatives of god, customs, ways of worshipping, level of sin and merit. They influenced it or spread it back on to the Tamilians.

To be even more particular, in the eighth page of the Parithimaar kalaignar’s “Tamil mozhiyin varalaaru (A history of Tamil language)” book, the following lines are given.

“Even before the Tamilians realize, most of the rare things were translated into their language and as if it was something of their own and influenced Tamilians as if it has come from the people of northern language."

Those who need further information on this can read the books of Pulavar Arivudai Nambi, Silambu Naa. Selvaraasu and Avram Noam Chomsky, linguistic scholar. On the internet also you can find the information related to it. The idea of this post is not to discuss about it.

One such thing that has been translated from Tamil is gayatri mantra. Kaayam = body, thiri = life, mantra = protection. Hence gayatri mantra means protecting body as well as life. The translated version or equivalent one is gayatri mantra prevailing at present. Since ages it has been preached through guru only. This is the reason why it has not been known to most of them.

We shall see the way of using gayatri mantra in the next post.

Did the Gayatri mantra vanish? Or it was hidden? - 01

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Mostly all of must be aware of this gayatri mantra. But this post is not about it, please read the title once again.

When we keep on repeating the same words or letters in a particular sequence continuously for many number of times then it turns into a power and protects the body and life of the one who chants it. This is the fundamental criteria of mantras.

Out of such mantras gayatri mantra is the superior one. The one who chants it will attain all good only. Also no bad things will come to them is the belief.

It is also told that those who chants the gayathri mantra, they will be relieved from all the sins they did through mind, speech and body and they will attain the supreme being. As it lead us to reach the most higher state of wisdom i.e., reaching the supreme being (Brahmam), this gayatri mantra is called as ‘Brahmopadhesam'.

Another example to quote about the greatness of the gayatri manta is that the situation in Bagavat Gita where Lord Krishna has told the following:“In Vedas, I am living as the gayathri”.

Such a great gayatri mantra has been given to the world by Saint Viswamitra. He is the one with a great fame. In Gayatri mantra, kaayam (Gaya) refers to body, thiri (tri) refers to the tip of a lamp which means he has attained a body that brightly looks like a lamp. Due to the gayatri mantra and by worshipping of the Lordess Gayatri, mother of Vedas, Viswamitra attained all the theurgies and got the title as Brahmarishi. This is the gayatri mantra told by Viswamitra and it is told in Sanskrit.

"ஓம் பூர்: புவ: ஸுவ:
om poor: buva: suva:
thath savithur varaenyam
pargo devasya theemahi
thiyo: yoana: prasoathayaath"

Thirumoolar has told about this gayatri mantra in Tamil.

"காயத்திரியே கருது சாவித்திரி
kaayaththiriyae karuthu saaviththiri
aaitharkuvappavar manthiramaangunni
naeyaththaerraeri ninaivutru naeyaththaai
maayaththul thoayaa maraiyoarkal thaamae!"

(Thirumoolar)

Here begins the controversy. Almost all the Siththars have told all the mantras in Tamil. If that is the case, the gayatri mantra told by Thirumoolar is the one told in sanskrit? Did Siththars define a different gayatri mantra for themselves? For further details wait till the next post.

What is 'Ettirandu'?

Author: தோழி / Labels:

Ettirandu = Ettu (Eight) + Irandu (two)

Everybody who is practicing the yogic wisdom must definitely know what this ettirandu is. Right from the start to end, for everything this ettirandu is like the basic thing. In all the things in the world, this ettirandu is filled in such a way that it cannot be separated from them. The one who knows its greatness only can be beneficent from all the secrets of the Siththars.

Almost all the Siththars have told the greatness of it.

"எட்டிரண்டு அறிந்தோர்க்கு இடர் இல்லை
ettirandu arinthoarkku idar illai"

ettumirandaiyum oraththu marai ellaam
unakkullae aegamaai thaernthu
vetta veliyinaich saarnthu - aanantha
vellaththil moozhgi migu kali koornthu

"எட்டும் இரெண்டும் இனிதறிகின்றலர்
ettum irendum initharikinralar
ettum irendum ariyaatha eazhaiyar
ettum irendum irumoonru naankenap
pattathu siththaantha sanmaarkka paathamae!"

So what is this ettirandu?

Before the English numbers came into practice, the Tamil script only was used to denote the numbers. In that the number eight (ettu) was denote by the Tamil letter Aah(அ) and two (rendu) is denoted by ‘Voo’ (உ). Both these ‘aah’ and ‘voo’ are the vowel letters which the Siththars have wrote with a hidden meaning as ettirandu in their songs.

Why did Siththars give so much importance to it but still sang it with indirect meaning?

All the sounds in the nature has got these two ‘Aah’ and ‘Voo’ as the fundamental sound. Everything has been emerged from this sonly. These two sounds are hidden in all Vedas, music, mantras, yantras and magical spells.

Those who really know the greatness and importance can only attain the wisdom. Only because they knew its importance they have given it with a hidden meaning.

The one who knew the real meaning, greatness and importance of this ettirandu are great people. There is nothing wrong to follow their path.

Let us know the truth and attain wisdom!!

I shall catch you in the next post with another information.

One letter Mantra - Continuation

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

The pranava mantra "OM" , this one letter mantra is as a dumb letter, says Konganavar.

Sivavaakkiyar says "one among the five letters" as a clue i.e., one letter from this five letter word 'na ma si vaa ya'

Thirumoolar says that "Nayottu mantra namanai vellum" which means the mantra used to make the dog run away which wins the yama. How we make the dog run away?

"Sieei"....!

Yes, the one letter mantra told by the Siththars with the hidden meaning is the letter "Si".This is said as "Si" kaaram.

Why did Konganavar said that the "Si" is silent letter in the "OM" mantra?

The explanation for this is given in the following song by Sivavaakkiyar.

"அகாரம் என்னும் அகரத்தில் அவ்வு வந்துதித்ததா?
agaaram ennum agaraththil avvu vanthuthiththaa?
ugaaram ennum agaraththil uvvu vanthuthiththaa?
agaramum ugaaramum sigaaraminri ninrathaa?
vigaaramatra yogikal virinthuraikka vaenumae?"

The agaaram "aah" , ugaaram "voo", sikaaram "Si" without this it ca not be united. Only yogi can explain how it could be possible. This information is being shared only through the gurus. This is also called as Guru's advice.

In the next post we shall meet with another useful information.

One letter Mantra

Author: தோழி / Labels:

Yes, mantra made of only one letter. How many of us know about this surprising one letter mantra? Hence I am writing this post.

This mantra is also called as "unspoken mantra", "Dumb letter", "Letter of heart", "Silent letter", "Nayottu mantra" in so many songs of the Siththars.

Konganavar says about this one letter mantra in the following way.

"ஓம் என்ற அட்சரம் தானுமுண்டு அதற்குள் ஊமை எழுத்தும் இருக்குதடி
oam enra atcharam thaanumundu atharkul oomai ezhuththum irukkuthadi"

Thirumoolar says the following as Nayottu mantra

"நாயோட்டு மந்திரம் நமனை வெல்லும் என்பரே
naayoattu manthiram namanai vellum enbarae
naayoattu manthiram innaaikku miga uganthathae
naayoattu manthiram naayaenyaan vittilaen
naayoattu manthiram in naayai veedu saerkkumae!"

(Thirumoolar)

Sivavaakkiyar says about this one letter mantra in the following way

"அஞ்செழுத்தில் ஒரேழுத்து அறிந்து சொல்ல வல்லிரேல்
anjezhuththil orezhuththu arinthu solla vallirael"

In another song Siva vakkiyar says about this one letter mantra in the following way

"அகாரம் என்னும் அகரத்தில் அவ்வு வந்துதித்ததா?
agaaram ennum agaraththil avvu vanthuthiththathaa?
ugaaram ennum agaraththil uvvu vanthuthiththathaa?
agaramum ugaaramum sigaaraminri ninrathaa?
vigaaramatra yogikal virinthuraikka vaenumae?"

Vallalar says about this one letter mantra in the following way.

"ஒரேழுத் தில் ஐந்துண்டென்பார் வெண்ணிலாவே -அது
orezhuth thil ainthundenbaar vennilaavae - athu
oomai ezhuththaavathenna vennilaavae"

Agathiyar says about this one letter mantra in the following way.

egamaenum orezhuththin payanaip paarththae
eduththuraikka ivvulagil evarumillai
aagamangal noolkal pala katruk kondae
arinthomaenbar mounaththai avanai neeyum
vaegaach saagaatha kalai kaal virainthu kaelaai
viduththa athanai uraippavanae aasaanaagum
thaegamathil ozezhuththai kaanbavan gnani
thirunadanam kaana muththi siththiyaamae!"

What is that one letter mantra that has got so much of greatness?

We shall see that information in the next post.

Method of overcoming hunger told by Agathiyar

Author: தோழி / Labels:

The biggest disease in human life is the hunger. Till date this is the disease that can not be cured.

Avvaiyaar has told about hunger in the following way.

maanam kulam kalvi vanmai arivudaimai
thaanam thavam uyarchi thaalaanmai - thaenin
kasivantha solliyar mael kaamuruthal paththum
pasivanthidap paranthu poam.

If we get hunger then pride, caste, education, strength, intelligence, charity, austerity, superiority, perseverance, sex all these ten will disappear.

To overcome such a untolerable hunger, Agathiyar has told a method in the following song.

"தானென்ற நாயுருவி வித்து தன்னை
thaanenra naayuruvi viththu thannai
thanmaiyinaal mulaippaalil uraiththu mainthaa
paanenra pasuppaalil karaiththuk kondu
paangaana ettivirai uraiththuk kondu
thaenenrae thiyaaniththuk kondaayaakil
sevviyai vayiru pasi eduppathillai
naanenru eththanai naal irunthaalunthaan
nalinamudan pasiyaathu mainthaa paarae"

(Agathiyar)

Take the seed of  Achyranthes aspera and add moter's milk to it, and grind the seed of Strychnos nux-vomica. Now dissolve both of them in cow's milk and by praying to god, if we drink this, we will not get hunger for any number of days says Agathiyar

"பாரப்பா பசிஎளுப்ப வேண்டுமென்றால்
paarappaa pasieluppa vaendumenraal
panbaaga sollukinraen mainthaa kaelu
veerappa elumbiyathoar manjalinji
virumbiyae thinridavae vaegam kondu
kaarappa moola akkiniyae neerum
kadupasithaa nedukkumaadaa karuvaayppaaru
therappaa mananthaeri karuvaaip paarththaal
siththu viththai anegamundu thelinthu kaanae"

(Agathiyar)

Again if we need to get hunger then we need to take a yellow ginger. Eating yellow ginger causes heavy hunger. If we search with pure heart then we may find other methods also told by the Siththars.

Directions.. Actions.. Effects

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

As I wrote the posts in a sequence, for a change I wish to write the information which is said in a single song of Siththars.

Only the results of the researches made by the Siththars are only available as the songs. We should not consider them as fake stories and avoid them. We should think about why the Siththars have told them, why they have come to this conclusion all these points are to be defined. There is a compulsion for us and the modern science to answer all these questions.

In that way I wish to share one of the songs of Theraiyar

"சாதிக்கும் கீழ்த்திசை சம்பத்துண்டாம்
saathikkum keezhththisai sambaththundaam
thavaraa thenkizthisai sanjalamae seyyum
aathikkum thenthisai yaayusu viruththikkum
aagaa thenmer thisaikku porulae saetham
vadathikku maerthisai maththipamae noayaam
vadamaerkku illaram vittathuvae oattum
soathikkum vadathisai maththipamae saavaam
sollariya vadakizhakku uththaman thaan paarae"

(Theraiyar)

In this song it is told about the eight directions and the results of the acts that is done in that direction.

The action towards,

East direction leads to wealth
West direction leads to illness
North direction leads to increase of life span
South direction leads to death or end
South east direction leads to disturbances in mind
South west direction leads to money in the hands gets spent
North east direction leads to be a honest person
North west direction leads to leaving away the homely pleasures

The ancient Tamilians art of building, worshipping ways, way of living all these are dependant on these directions only. We find many evidences that indicates the above information.

Instead of avoiding these information as a blind belief, we need to explore the story hidden behind it.

In the next post I shall share some other imformation.

Navamani - Way to get the best results

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

In the previous posts we have seen that each stone represents a particular planet. They are,

Sun - Ruby
Moon - Pearl
Mars - Coral
Mercury - Emerald
Jupiter - Topaz
Venus - Diamond
Saturn - Sapphire
Raagu - Sardonyx
Kaethu - Lapis Lazuli

These navamanis could not be bought on all the days. There are certain restrictions to those also.

On sundays ruby and sardonyx, on mondays pearl and lapis lazuli, on tuesdays coral, on wednesdays emerald, on thursdays topaz, on fridays diamond and on saturdays sapphire could be bought.

After identifying the right stone and wearing it by fixing it on the jewel and wearing it on the right day alone will not give the best results. Before making medicines out of the medicinal herbs and arsenics should be purified, like wise these stones must also be purified. The Siththars call this as "dhosha nivarthi" means expiating the defects.

Even today most of the people who sell these stones do not realise its importance. They are considering the profit only.  Because of this only most of them say that the stones did not produce the fruitful results.

I have initiated this post to share the idea of the "dhosha nivarthi" only. But I feel that these ideas are to be follwed only under the guidance of the guru. Hence I did not share those here. So excuse me.

By choosing the expertise astrologer and as per his suggestion buy the right stone at right day and perform the appropriate procedures and attain the benefits and best results.

Navamani - Features and Quality

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Each one of the navamani has the capability of showering a unique colored rays. There are opinions that as these rays enters the body it makes the welfare of the body as well as mind.

Ruby gives out red colored rays, pearl  gives out orange colored rays, topaz gives out blue colored rays, sardonyx gives out violet colored rays, emerald gives out green colored rays, diamond gives out light blue colored rays, lapis lazuli  gives out light red colored rays, sapphire gives out dark voilet colored rays, coral gives out yellow colored rays.

The stones with these features and those without any damage only could cause the appropriate results. To identify the correct stone is a difficult task. Even the experted ones may make mistakes in choosing the right stone.

But Agathiyar has told the way of identifying the right stone a century ago in the book "Agathiyar Vaagadam".

Pearl :- If we put it into the milk without foam it will float

Emerald :- If we keep it in hand and go near to a horse it will sneeze

Ruby :- In front the light of a lamp it could be seen in red color

Diamond:- If we pierce a needle into the diamond it would not break.

Coral :-  If we pierce the needle exactly at the center of the coral only it will get inserted.

Sardonyx :- If we put it into the cow's ghee it will smell like saffron

Topaz:- If we keep it on the stone that we use for rubbing sandal, it woud smell like lotus.

Lapis Lazuli :- If we put in the juice of green leaf  it will turn into white color.

Sapphire :-  If we put in the juice of green leaf  it will glow in a particular color.

This informations gathered from the Agathiyar songs are very rare and here after you can also get benefited out of it and know its quality.

As a continuation to this, these navamanis could not be bought on all the days. There are certain restrictions to those also. In the next post we shall see all those details.

Navamani - Are lucky stones?

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

Right from the birth till the death his life is solely dependant on the nine planets says the astrology. The kosaara* effects decides the each stage of human life and those effects are dependant on the good and bad that they have done in their previous birth. Apart from these by doing certain remedial activities, it is said that the effect of the nine planets could be made less intense.

Each navamani represents one particular planet.By wearing these navamani those rays enter into our body and equalise the effects of particular planet and also gives luck, says record.

Even today we can find people burying these navamani at the entrance of the newly building home. Apart from this, in temple these navamani are found buried in the tomb's foundation, in the place where God's statue is present. All these makes us realise the importance of the navamani. Apart from the belief the ancestors have also realised the benefits of these navamani, hence they have left those evidences for us to know about them.

Based on this importance only most of them have made this navamani sales as a business and are attaining a huge profit out of it. Due to some false advertisings, some of them fall into their trap and get affected very badly and loose peace of mind. Those experiences of such people are becoming a bad example for most of them thereby creating a bad opinion on these navamanis .

Actually based on the one's astrology, the planet positioning, their effects are decided and based on it the stone is prescribed. We can also say that the stone is prescribed by taking into consideration of the birth time, sign, master of the zodiac sign and birth star. But the stone cannot be predicted based on one individual sign or a star.

The stones prescribed are to be worn on the ring finger and men wear it on their right and women on the left hands and the kids can wear in the neck. When they worn like this so that those rays from the stones gets exposed into the human body. If the stone is prescribed by those who are really experted, then the benefits are really great. I have directly witnessed them.

How to choose the pure stones?

As many of them say, why do not these stones give the best results?

What is the method that the Siththars have told to make these stones give the full fledged results?

We shall see all these in the next post.

Navamani - An introduction

Author: தோழி / Labels: ,

The Siththars call the navaratnas (nine gems) as navamani. Nava means new and ratna means light. Diamond, pearl, emerald, ruby, sapphire, topaz, lapis lazuli, sardonyx and coral are Navamanis. All these stones are naturally grown on the ground.

These nine stoness are said to be the nine different forms of Lord Siva. They are Brahma, Vishnu, Rudhiran, Maheswaran, Sadhasivam, Sivam, Sakthi, Naadham and Vindhu.

The ancient Tamilians have categorized these stones into three: first, middle and last stones.

They are,

First stones:- diamond, pearl, emerald, ruby
Middle stones:- sapphire, topaz, lapis lazuli
Last stones:- sardonyx, coral

Siththars have categorized these stones into two types: main ratnas and sub ratnas. Diamond, pearl, topaz, ruby, sapphire are main ratnas and lapis lazuli, sardonyx and coral are subratnas.

The Siththars have utilised it in many ways. Based on the information that we have got, the navamani have been used in two ways.

One is in the astrology. To protect from the effects of the nine planets on a particular person, he will choose a particular stone that suit to his astrology effects and wear it by keeping it in any of the jewels.

The other is utilising it for medicinal purposes by making these navaratnas into ashes and using them as  medicinologes.

First we shall see how these navamani has been prescribed for the astrology purposes in the next posts.

Common diseases, remedies and my explanations!!

Author: தோழி / Labels:

For past eight post I have shared the treatments for certain common diseases that are prevailing and I am so happy about it.  Though there are so many other diseases in my list by taking into consideration about the length of the series, I have kept them aside to take it up later.

Friends, the notion of my blog is to share the informations that the Siththars have told to the present generation so that they would get benefitted and thereby also be helpful to the next generation too by sharing it in electronic media.

Most of the information that I have shared here is only after cross checking it and feeling satisfied. Even after this if there are anyother mistakes please try to point it out so that I can rectify it.

Now a days the treatment told by the Siththars are being researched by the goverment as well as the private hospitals. The results that they have observed from their researches are being given as knowledge to the students in the Siddha college. Apart from this as a tradition, people live in gurukalas and learn the treatments and Siddha mediacation.

While taking the treatment of Siddha medication they have stressed more about the strict diet to be followed. This varies based on the nature of body of human beings. For all of the same kind of food habit will not suit. I request all of you to keep the information that I share as a knowledge only, but in situations when we have put into practice please do it under the guidance of a chosen Siddha doctors.

The posts in this blog have been shared by many other bloggers as their own article in their blogs/websites without prior intimation to me or permission from my side. Though initially I did not care about such incidents, but now all these acts are like diverting my concentration from my job. I would very clearly show my dislike towards this act of sharing my posts on thier name. Hence I kindly request you not to do such acts.

Thanks for your support!

I shall meet you in my next post with another new information.
