You might have seen that water being formed, leaked, flowed from the mountains go through the forests as stream. While the water travelling from the mountain through the forests, the water might have remained in the pits and holes on the peaks of the mountain. This post is about the water that settled in those small pits and holes.
While flowing through all these mountains and forests it dissolves many poisons, salts flows through the medicinal herbs in the forests as a result the nature and feature of the water changes to the best. This water gets settled in the pits deeper like well and due to the climatic conditions like sunlight, thunder, lightning, the chemical changes occurs and as a result it becomes as the most powerful with extra ordinary powers. The Siththars named this water as Udhaga neer.
As an example to describe its importance, the leaf falling into this water also turns into stone. The Siththars tell that this cannot be found everywhere and identifying this is not so easy. Also the udhaga water found in all the places does not posess similar kinds of chemical and biological characteristics.
In the books like "Bogar Malaivaagadam", "Korakkarr Malaivaagadam", "Agathiyar Vaagadam", it is written in detail about this udhaga water. As per those books books, there are ten kinds of udhaga water. They have also wrote songs about getting relieved from the curses by using this udhaga water. Also they say that this water has to be preserved in a special vessel.
In those days when there was not much of technology, our ancient Tamil Siththars have known about all these. While thinking about their greatness we can definitely feel great about ourselves as Tamilians.
In the next post we shall see more about the udhaga water and the ways to identify it, and its benefits.
Keep waiting!!
