As we sow, so we reap

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is the Newton’s third law in science. In our tradition, this action and its consequences has been spoken since many years itself. But it has been told as a part of a religious or individual’s beliefs, acts and thoughts.

The both good and bad effects due to one’s actions in the previous birth still show impact on our life. It is also believed that the good and sin of our parents is also carry forwarded to us. Most of us still believe them.

But Kuthambai Siththar puts forth a different idea. He says that the sin and good caused by the parents does not affect their children. Likewise the good did by the children will not cause good to the parents. He says the effects of good and bad that one does shows impact to the same person only.

"தந்தைதாய் செய்தவினை சந்ததிக்குஆமென்பார்
thanthaiyaai seithavinai santhathikkiaamenbaar
சிந்தை தெளிந்திலரேகுதம்பாய்
sinthai thelinthilaraekuthambaai
சிந்தை அதளிந்திலரே
sinthai athalinthilarae."

- குதம்பைச் சித்தர் (Kuthambai Siththar)

"பிள்ளைகள் செய்த தன்மம் பெற்றோர்ககு உறுமென்றால்
pillaikal seitha thanmam petroarkaku urumenraal
வெள்ளறிவு ஆகுமடிகுதம்பாய்
vellarivu aagumadikuthambaai
வெள்ளறிவு ஆகுமடி
Vellarivu aagumadi ."

- குதம்பைச் சித்தர் (Kuthambai Siththar)

If somebody keeps blabbering that the good did by my parents did not protect me, then it shows their innocence only.

If somebody keeps worrying that the bad did by my parents is affecting me, then it shows their innocence only.

If somebody realizes that, ‘this is the consequence of my actions only’, then the person will be an intellectual says Kuthambai Siththar.
