What is darshan?

All scenes seen through our naked eye in day to day life is darshan. In Tamil, it is called as tharisanam. The reactions evolved due to this scenes only create emotions, which can be felt by oneself and not seen. This sensed feeling can also be called darshan. It is of two types; inner darshan which is felt by heart and outer darshan which is seen through naked eye.

One’s life path from birth to death can also be called as darshan. In this post, we are going to see about the darshans throughout our life, which we have not realized still. That too, those inner darshans are told by our Siththars!

In Siddalogy, finding guru is termed as first darshan. Starting from this, darshan takes its path till eternal birthless bliss or  jeeva samadhi. In Siddhalogy, darshan blindly denotes inner darshan, which can be adored as internal light only.

Who can get this darshan? Those who are with curiosity, focus and effort can achieve this darshan. One’s effort determines the achievement of their darshan. No one can priorly predict it. It can simply be felt by oneself, as seen in available quotes.

Only few Siththars namely, Agathiyar, Bogar, Thirumoolar have mentioned about this darshan, which itself shows the signifance of it. Among the above three, only Agathiyar explained it elaborately. The details concerning stages of darshan is available in book named Agathiyar 12000.

What Agathiyar told about the excellence and significance of the darshan?

Further information in upcoming post. Stay tuned!!
