Kaantha Sendhooram – Sendhooram prepared using magnet
In the earlier posts, we have discussed the significance of sendhooram* in Siddha medicine. Agathiyar told, one of the preparation methods of sendhooram using magnet which removes grey hairs, wrinkle skins and early ageing.
கேளப்பா காந்தம் பலம்தான் ஒன்று

One palam* of magnet, iron and gold should be melted together and then allowed to cool. This cooled mixture is then broken down into pieces and placed in kalvam. Along with these broken pieces, kadikai* time’s veeram and mercury should be added. Sulphur equivalent to total quality is added to that mixture and the whole thing should be grinded using breast milk for 2 days in kalvam.
After that, the whole mixture is then grinded strongly with fruit juice and then allowed to dry. Then, take a container which should be half filled with this dried powder. Then, place the container over the salt which is in the vessel containing salt. Then, cover the container with mixture of salt and soil till it reaches the neck of container.
Then make seelai to lid of the container container and then it should be burned with the help of vaalukai for three days continuously. Then, it must be allowed to cool. Finally, we can see the sendhooram, which blossomed like a flower of drumstick tree. This sendhooram should be kept safe for further use.
On eating pana edai weight of this kaantha senthooram daily for 48 days, grey hairs and wrinkle skins will get changed and then one outer body skin cover will get removed. Moreover, this sendhooram makes the mind of that concerned person to long for Siva Yogam. We can also prepare gold using this kaantha sendhooram.
