Bogar said that Korakkar was the son of Vasittar in his book Bogar 7000.

In his book, Kalpa Paetham, Korakkar mentioned that he had been a close friend to Sattai Muni and Konganavar.

Korakkar did his austerity in Korkaadu, Pondy district and hence that place was named after him.

“சொல்லவே கோரக்கர் பிறந்த நேர்மை
sollave Korakkar pirantha nermai
சுந்தரனார் வசிஷ்ட மகா ஷியாருக்கு
Sundharanar vasishta mahaa shiyarukku
புகழாகான கன்னியவள் பெற்ற பிள்ளை
pugazhaakaana kanniyaval petra pillai
வெல்லவே அனுலோமன் என்னலாகும்
vellave anuloman ennalaagum
வேதாந்த கோரக்கர் சித்து தாமும்
vedhantha Korakkar siththu thaamum
நல்லதொரு பிரகாசமான சித்து
nallathoru piragasamaana siththu.”

- போகர் 7000 (Bogar 7000).

His sepulcher was said to be in Perur.
