பெரிசுத்த நூலிதனுதான் பதனம் பண்ணும்
perisuththa noolithuthaan pathanam pannum
விதியிலை என்றெண்ணாதே; நூதலைத்தேடு;
vithiyilai enrennaathe; noothalaithedu
விண்டு மிண்டு பேசாதே; வேண்டாம் வேண்டாம்;

நிதி பெறுவார் உபசாரம் நீக்கி போடு;

பிரமன் தன் உத்தரவு தன்னால் இந்நூல்

கருவறிய ஞானிகட்கே வெளியிட்டேனால்
karuvariya gnanikatke veliyittenaal
கையடக்கமாக வைத்துக் கண்டுதேறே
kaiyadakkamaaga vaiththu kanduthera”

In the above song, Agathiyar says, that his scripts are not for all people. But only for those who are in search of spiritual knowledge has to know the script from his Guru, says Agathiyar.
Siththars had never cared for literary beauties such as simile and metaphor in their songs, instead they had hidden the secrets using complex words. Their works are rare treasure to the Humankind. Unfortunately, it’s too sad that we haven’t fully de-ciphered the Siththar songs.
