Today we are going to see about fourth basic chakra of human body. Anahata refers to imageless and unimaginable sound.
This basic centre situated below the neck and centre to lungs and heart and exactly at suzhimunai naadi. Agathiyar explains it as follows.
பாரப்பா பூரகத்தின் மேலேகேளு
paarappa poorakaththin maelaekaelu
பாடுகிறோ மெட்டங்குலந்தா னனாகததின்வீடு
paadukiroa mettangulanthaa nanaakathathinveedu
தேர்ந்தயிதழ் பன்னிரெண்டாய் சுற்றிநிக்கும்
thaernthayithazh pannirendaai sutrinikkum
ஏரப்பா தேயுவது யிருப்பிடமாய் நிற்கும்
aerappaa thaeyuvathu yiruppidamaai nirkum
பிருப்பிடத்தில் சிகாரமென்ற எழுத்தாமே
piruppidaththil sikaaramenra ezhuththaamae
எழுத்தான பூதமதின் பீஜங் கேளு
ezhuththaana poothamathin peejang kaelu
இயம்புவேன் யமதுவும் மிடமேயாகும்
iyampuvaen yamathuvum midamaeyaakum
செத்தான அவ்வெழுத்தில் ருத்ரன்காகினிதானே
seththaana avvezhuththil ruthrankaakinithaanae.

This anahata chakra is related to heart. The principal basic element is air. Principal god is Rudhran and principle goddess is Kaakini. The corresponding moolamantra is “yum”. This chakra symbolizes and explains the letter “SI” of “SIVAYANAMA”.

From this chakra, twelve yoga naadis emerges out as lotus petals. Siththar’s noted that, the action / movement of naadis bring out the sound as sanga, kaka, kaka, tata, gnaja and jasa. At the centre of chakra, one can hear the resonance of sapta brahma sound i.e., anahata sound.
On positioning mind at the location of anahata chakra and start chanting moola mantra, the Kundalini energy starts rising from manipura chakra and reaches anahata chakra. This siddhi will be attained in several days. However, it may even take several years to achieve this which mainly depends on the practitioners dedication and the concentration.
When the awakened Kundalini energy from muladhara chakra reaches anahata chakra, it is termed as “Agni Kundalini”. Mind of practitioner with this blossomed anahata chakra is dominated with charity, love, gracefulness like satvika characters. Also, he may understand the secrets of evolution.
