Till now we have only seen the preparation to start Kundalini yoga. In that series, yesterday we have seen padmasana or sukhasana can be appropriate asana for practicing Kundalini.
While being in padmasana, spinal cord remains straight and breathe can reach thuriyam from muladhara without any barrier. Moreover, we can feel no tiredness in padmasana posture. While in padmasana posture, it is advised to use chin mudra or gnana mudra in fingers.
Now asana is ready and the next thing is listening breathe. Some people stated that listening to breathe daily for certain period is enough, which I personally will not agree with that. Even Siththars have not specified or allocated any time limits for practicing. However, it will be better to listen till your capability or focus fades.
However one cannot listen breathe during the early days. Hence, it should not be trusted if any one says that they started listening. Mind will wander out more than you imagine and one should see where all it goes. Finally, mind itself will come back to yourself and now focus your mind in listening breathe. Now you will achieve concentration. It is easy trick rather than forcing your mind to focus!
Mere listening of breathe is more than enough and did not expect any magical thing to happen during early days. This process is mainly intended to loosen up body, mind and breathe. However, you can feel the little changes as time passes and it can not be explained merely in words. With my experience, I can tell that there comes the internal serenity which we likes a lot.
Now, it is the appropriate time to start thinking about Kundalini.
Now, our implementation works includes two stages. First thing, we have to awake and raise Kundalini energy. Next thing is to guide the awakened Kundalini energy pass through six basic chakras.
This happens in six stages from muladhara to thuriyam. We can feel the concerned benefits on each of the chakras when it is blossomed. Now during this practice, we have to face body related problems too.
At last, we came to the stage of awakeneing Kundalini in muladhara, after all preparations and explanations.
Let us see the first chakra muladhara and the mode of practice, effects and benefits of it in the upcoming posts.
Stay tuned!
