Though we have seen that the samudrika lakshanam is related to the art of body, in his post we shall see some other important information related to the women. This is the information that should be known to every women and also the one that has to be shared with every other woman.
The Siththars say that there are two types of pregnancy. They are real pregnancy and fake pregnancy. We need not describe about the real pregnancy so let us see about the fake pregnancy.
The menses that has to be excreted every month will get collected in the walls of the womb due to many reasons and become like abscess. If the menses does not get excreted further then it would reside even more and will become bigger. This abscess will become bigger and move. Then after sometime it will come out by causing a pain like the delivery pain. If we identify them at the earlier stages and take appropriate medicines then we can prevent them from growing and take them out. If we fail to take care about it, as days pass it will grow and cause lots of troubles.
The Siththars explains the way of identifying the difference between these two pregnancies.
- For the woman with real pregnancy there will be no movement in her stomach for three months (2 mandalams)
- For the women with fake pregnancy they will feel the movement from the beginning itself
- In the real pregnancy the stomach of the woman will grow step by step
- For the women with fake pregnancy the stomach will grow within 25 to 40 days.
- If we press on the stomach of the woman with real pregnancy, the notches that occurs will disappear slowly
- If we press on the stomach of the woman with fake pregnancy, the notches that occurs will disappear in a moment
- The real pregnancy will not lead to a period of over 11 months
- The fake pregnancy will lead to many number of years too.
All these are not rare information in the modern science that we have today. But our ancestors who wrote all these information in their books even before modern science commences. It shows our strength in the medical field.
There are many information like this which has not been documented. We should attempt to bring out and make it useful for our future generation.
