The Human mind is faster than wind, deeper than ocean, fountain of feelings, capability of deciding creation and destruction. The proverb “where there is a will there is a way” and the Siththar's saying “ if the mind is clean then the mantra is not needed” describes the greatness of the mind.
Based on the modern science, mind is in two states: “a state concerned to feeling” and “a state concerned to mind”. But the Siththars consider them as three states. To my understanding those are considered as “Buddhi nilai”,“Siddhi nilai” and “Mukthi nilai”.
The state of buddhi is the state where we involve our self in everything that is present around us and consider it as a stable one. In this state we think we live for ourselves but will be involved in the worldly matters. In this state ego will be in upper hand. Mostly all of us live in this state only.
The state where we do not search for ourselves externally, rather search within ourselves is called as state of Siddhi. In this state ego will be totally eliminated. Also likes and dislikes will be discriminated and everything will be seen in the same way.
This state is next to the above mentioned two states. The state were we realize ourselves can be called as mukthi state. Affection and mercy only prevails in this state. This is called as the state of self realization.
The health of the body is present in the mind only. If the mind goes on a controlled line then the body gets fit as a result the life becomes stable. If we realize this we can understand the greatness of the mind.
