Nowadays, many ancient books are available about mantrika in Hindu mythology. We can see the vaerses about the mantrika in atharvana veda too. In this regard, a book named ‘uthira kaalaamirtham’ seems to be very important book. In general, mantrika are taught only by teacher to students as guru-sishya method and is been carried out through next generation. Due to the risky effects of mantrika, it is crucial to keep mantrika as secrets and those who were practicing mantrika always stays away from the society.
In Hinduism, mantrika is generally to control other person according to their desire. They use one of the mantrika types viz. pilli, sooniyam, aeval, vaippu, vasiyam to achieve one’s desire according to the need.
Pilli
The first ever thing coming to mind while talking about the mantrika is pilli. This type of mantrika will deviate a person from his stable thought and action and then controls him according to one’s own desire.
Sooniyam
In general sooniyam denotes emptiness. This mantrika type nullifies the person through which he will be restricted to do anything which eventually destroys him. Usually this type of mantrika is set on to the person with the help of his dress, jewellery, hair or soil foot prints.
Vasiyam
Vasiyam is a type of mantrika which is used to control a person completely. It includes Raaja vasiyam, Loaga vasiayam, Sarva vasiyam (controlling everything), Miruga vasiyam, Aanpen vasiyam (controlling men & women). Nowadays this type of mantrika is widely adopted by men to control women and vice versa. This is where many people are cheated by fake sorcerer.
Aeval
Aeval is a type of mantrika where one is forced to do some activities irrespective of that person willingness. Here that person is given with chanted food which is kept in the pooja. Once it is eaten by that person, he will be under the control and he can be forced to do either good or bad activities.
Seivinai
This type of mantrika is used to destroy the person in every possible way. This is one of the horrible and dangerous mantrika type in practice.
Vaippu
This is also similar to seivinai. Here chanted thing is hidden in one’s place without his knowledge to destroy that person. Yantras and some herbs took from pooja are kept in someone’s place to perform vaippu.
Apart from this types, there is another one too where dead person’s soul is used for performing mantrika.
It is not surprising that knowing the types has no change in reader’s negative attitude on mantrika. But I am sure that on the end of this topic we can see good positive change.
We will continue the further information in next post.
