ஏகமாய் பொருளும் போகும் இடறான நோயுண்டாகும்

போகுமே தொழிலும் நஷ்டம் பொல்லாப்பு மடைகுவாய்

For this combination, in family you may get some problems. Sorrows will arise in everything. Due to vexation, you will change your place and you will lose your major part of property and disease will occur. Your business will come to an end and grievance will develop with friends.

For this combination, a baby may take birth in family. You will live happily with all your relatives. In between you may face some little problems though that do not impact you to a great extent. You will remain happy for the rest of the life.

I have already shared so many posts about the astrology told by the Siththars. As a sequence to those posts we shall see about the “Paaichigai Aaroodam”  told by Agathiyar. Paaichigai is a four faced bar made out of the tree. In this, fill the first three faces  with the numbers 1,2,3 and in the fourth  face write 6.

Before getting into the paaichigai aaroodam, we shall see certain clarifications. In the life of the ancient Tamilians, the art of fore telling has been existing in many forms.  They are horoscopy, omens, aaroodam and prasannam.

Horoscopy is predicting the future based on the date of birth and the positioning of the planets.

Omens is those which are predicted based on the reason for the occurrence. If it thunders we say it would rain, if we feel hungry we need food. The extent of this reasoning is omens. This can be told in other ways as telling the future based on the consequences for those happening at present. In other words, judging  the future based on the present happenings is called as omens.

Aaroodam, another form of astrology is a method of predicting the future based on the time when they come to ask about their problem, position they are sitting, their body language and the positioning of the planets. Apart from this by throwing the cowry and counting them and by throwing the paaichigai and counting the numbers on them, they say the future. In the forth coming posts we shall see about the paaichigai aaroodam told by Agathiyar.

In this paaichigai we should throw the paaichigais thrice and based on the numbers we get, the effects are told.  Based on the numbers, pick the song related to it and say the effects. These 62 effects are stable. Based on the person asking the effects, the way the paaichigai is thrown and the person who is telling the effects varies. This is based on the "probability" method. This method is a separate and vast division in the mathematics.

The idea of this post is not to discuss or to make arguments about the truth in this kind of predicting future. The idea is to share the idea of our ancestors to the present generation and encourage them to proceed with further researches on them.

In the post coming further we shall see the effects of the paaichigai aaroodam told by Agathiyar. Anybody can use this method.

Out of the six types of samadhi state told by Konganavar, in this post  we shall see the final state named as “Aarooda Samadhi”. He says it in the following way.

"அணைந்து முன்னே தேவதைகள் வந்தாலுந்தான்

anainthu munnae devathaikal vanthaalunthaan

அதைச்சட்டை பண்ணாதே யகண்டமாய் நில்

athaichattai pannaathae yagandamaai nil

லணைந்து நின்ற வத்துவித நெறியிற்கூடி

lanainthu ninra vaththuvitha neriyirkoodi

யப்பனே சஞ்சார சமாதிக்குள்ளு

yappanae sanjaara samadhikkullu

மணைந்து நின்று திடப்பட்டாற் பின்புகேளு

manainthu ninru thidappattaar pinbukaelu

அப்பனே சகலத்தி லசத்தியம் போக்கி

appanae sagalaththi lasaththiyam poakki

யணைந்துநின்று சுட்டசட்டி விட்டாற் போலே

yanainthininru suttasatti vittaar poalae

யாச்சரியந் தேவதைக ளசத்தாய்க் காணே

yaachariyan devathaika lasaththaaik kaanae"

"அசத்ததாகக்தேவதையை மனதிலெண்ணி

யசையாத மலைபோலே யசைவுமற்று

நிசத்தான காற்றுப்போல் தேவதைக ளென்று

nisaththaana kaatruppoal devathaikalenru

நிச்சயித்து நன்றாக நில்லு நில்லு

nichayiththu nanraaga nillu nillu

பசத்தான வத்துவித நிலைநாமென்று

pasaththaana vaththuvitha nilainaamenru

பாராகத் திடப்பட்டு நில்லுநில்லே

paaraagath thidappattu nillunillae

உசத்தாகச் சாதகத்தி நிலையைக் கூட்டி

usaththaagach saathagaththi nilaiyaik kootti

யுத்தமனே யாரூட சமாதியாச்சே

yuththamanae yaarooda samadhiyaache"

‘You should realize that all the objects in the world has emerged out of you and believe that you are filled in everything, you are the Brahman and origin for everything. Even if Angels come in front of you, do not consider them and realize that you ara Brahman in stable sanjaara samadhi. Realize that all that we see is illusion. Not only angels or whoever appears in front of you, you should  think them as air and realize that everything is originated from you and be stubborn like a mountain. This state of being as Brahman yourself is aarooda samadhi. This is the final stage’ says Konganavar.

Even in the highest state of yoga, we have so many sub states. Isn’t it interesting? For my age all these are so big. I am not so matured to realize and write about all those. The journey to it is too long.

கலந்து நம்மை விடவொன்றுங் கண்டிலேனே

After coming out of the agandavirthi samadhi state and moving into the world and when we get ourselves involved in all the duties we should keep in our mind that all these are just a maya like a foam in sea waves.

The spider which builds it web from a gum like thing which gets secreted from its mouth and reside in that. The tortoise also resides within the shell that is present in its body. Likewise when we get involved in the regular activities of the world which is like a dream, we should realize there is nothing other than us and get involved in those activities without getting deviated by anything. This realization state is sanjaara samadhi.
