In the previous post we have seen about the introduction of the Panchaakkara letters and what those 51 letters are. Also we have seen that Thirmoolar told that those letters control the functioning of our body parts. Today I shall share about my understanding regarding to which body parts these letters govern and its philosophical notation.
Let us see the list that Thirumoolar told about the body parts which are governed by the panchaakkara letters.
Hair, fore head, right eye, left eye, right ear, left ear, right nostril, left nostril, right cheek, left cheek, upper lip, lower lip, tooth of upper jaw, tooth of lower jaw, chin, head, right hand, left hand, right foot, left foot, right rib, left rib, kulai (organs between the chest and stomach), lower abdomen, stomach, generative organs, testicle, mooladhara (pelvic plexus), anus, throat, left breast, right breast, right shoulder, crown of the head, agnjai, visudhi, anahata, manipura, swadhistana, thighs, knee, ankle, heart, tongue, spine, brain, urinary bladder, pelvic girdle, kidney, liver, skull and centre of the eye brows are the 51 parts mentioned by Thirumoolar.
The letters that correspond to the body parts has to be known through a guru only and hence I am not sharing it here. Those who does with proper practice and attained mature level only can share it, is a rule and hence I cannot reveal it fully. In future if I have got permission to do so, I will surely share them.
Now I shall just share the philosophical meaning behind these panchaakkara letters.
"மண்டலம் ஐந்து வரைகளுள் ஈர் ஆறு
mandalam ainthu varaikalul eer aaru
கொண்டிட நிற்கும் குடிகளும் ஆறு எண்மர்
kondaadida nirkum kudikalum aaru enmar enmar
கண்டிட நிற்கும் கருத்து நடுவாக
kandida nirkum karuththu naduvaaga
உண்டு நிலாவிடும் ஓடும் பதத்தையே
undu nilaavidum oadum pathaththaiyae"
- திருமந்திரம் (Thirumanthiram)
He says that our soul is being filled with five types of mandalams and twelve protectors. And there are six types of inhabitants and our body is monitored by eight maidens.
In this the five mandalams are earth mandalam, water mandalam, wind mandalam, fire mandalam, and sky mandalam referring to the panjapoothams.
The twelve protectors are Indra, Agni, Varuna, Vayu, Kubera, Aditya, Chandra, and Yama will protect all the eight directions. Along with them Ganapathy, Kumaran, Vayiravan, Durga also protects us. Hence altogether twelve of them protect us.
The six inhabitants within us refer to body, mouth, eye, nose, ear and mind.
The eight maidens who mind our body are Ananga Kusumai, Anga Megalai, Ananga Madhanai, Anga Madhana, Ananga Raegai, Anga Vaegini, Ananga Kusai, Anga Malini.
If one learns all these clearly and practice this panchaakkara letters then he will not have end at all. If he stands by this, the grace of God can be attained.
In next post I shall catch up with some other information.
